Hi ....listened to the album several times, and in the beginning, i told you, that it is for me a different album. Now laying in my bed , with a fever.............listening to it, again again......and agian................................and again................i must say I love it !!! I have enough time to listen, to the lyrics, .....hope i found the right translation, and i'm impressed by Hayley's talent to write such beautiful lyrics. I appreciate it very much.  I have read your review several times and now I have to rescind what I have mentioned before about my limited understanding. Using a thicker English to English dictionary and consulting with it, I think I understand almost everything what you have written.  It is something like to listen to HSJS2 by different styles and amplifiers. The more you do, the better you feel about it like Grant has mentioned. I'd say your English style is something like an article in the music magazine written by a professionally trained writer and is well prepared. It contains words which I am not familiar time to time, like “dirge”, “pathos”,”introspective” and some others. As an engineer, I managed to read technical English reports but those have never contained above words and are quite new to me. Come to think of it, 9 months ago I have posted here for the first time reading those posts on 23 different pages of HSJS1 up to that day. I was very curious how the CD was listened and commented by non-Japanese people. To read all the comments was not very easy for me but I could not stop reading all of them because they were very interesting and surprising to me. This resulted me to decide, “I must apply to join the forum although my English skill is not enough.”. This was the beginning and I do enjoy visiting here ever since and my skill to read non-technical expressions is a bit improved, I feel. I hope you pay a small attention that there are many people visiting HWI from different countries. Somewhere in the threads, I once found it is more than 100 countries from all over the world. Oh noes. I had the flu for two weeks just after the new year, and I kept playing a song called 'I Don't Believe You' because it was just a stunning song. After my flu cleared up, I couldn't play it again because it just reminded me of being ill!  It's such a fantastic song, too! |

Hi Maya,
I think your English is more than good enough for this forum, and your posts are always interesting and well worth reading, especially regarding Hayley's Japanese albums and tour.
I'm sure also that reading this forum will help improve your vocabulary. That's three new words you've learned anyway.
Actually, the only professional writing I have ever done is technical specifications and user manuals, so perhaps you will understand better if I write in that style.:-) Others might find it boring though!

Hi Martin. Thank you for reading and understanding my posts. I was glad that you found them acceptable. What a coincident.  I used to or still write technical specifications, manufacturing procedures and user manuals too mostly in Japanese sometimes in English. But I always needed a big assistance by natives when in English. So I know my limitation.  Hayley has just released a new album HSJS2. Also she is currently in Japan and someone needs to act. But Stephany is no longer fully OK due to her job situations. I do not find any other person who is deeply related to Japan these days. I thought , "Better than nothing and I must do some as a native of Japan.". Anyway I will try as much as possible at least while Hayley is in Japan. There may be many my unusual expressions by me but I hope you try to understand. My policy is just better than nothing!  Best wishes. Maya |

Well, my special edition cd/dvd finally arrived today or rather the postman left a slip saying that he called when I was out. I wonder why, I thought, and then noticed on the missed delivery slip that a customs charge of £11.65 is due on collection from my local Post Office ! OUCH That's over £40 in total for this special edition. But then I thought, despite this extraordinary cost, how can you put a value on Hayley's music when it brings so much pleasure and contentment? But - Hayley will sing all day - just for you.
In Ireland, VAT may be charged on personal goods valued at over 22EUR or on gifts valued at over 45EUR (imported from non-EC countries).
Usually, small items that come by post escape charges.

I got in this afternoon to find a similar card from the postman although I saved 29p as my customs charge is only £11.36  What annoys me more than anything is the fact that customs have delayed delevery by two weeks and resulted in me reporting it to CD Japan as 'undelivered!
