The annual Classic FM Christmas (Carol) concert has finished literally as I write - and just over an hour ago, Hayley's two solo performances were played. They were: Ave Maria by Caccini Silent Night both with Organ accompaniment. There is a one second gap in the vocals at the start of verse 2 of Silent Night, most likely a technical hitch but it's hard to know what caused it and it made no difference to my enjoyment of Hayley's performance. The audio clip is here [now uploaded to HWI.net by Gerrit!] (8 minutes, 64 kbps, 3.7 MB); enjoy! Dave

Thank you for the clip Dave! I listened to the concert on the radio last night, and I really liked Hayley's voice accompanied by the organ, which played two very different styles for the two songs. It was a beautiful performance. The concert was recorded in Westminster Abbey earlier this month, and now I'm really looking forward to seeing Hayley in the Christmas Eve Service from Norwich Cathedral, starting at 11:25pm tonight on ITV1. Merry Christmas everybody! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

I wasn't able to hear the programme when it was broadcast so thanks for capturing it, Dave. The sound of Hayley's voice was so good with organ accompaniment. Of course, Hayley is on her way home now; due to land in Christchurch on Christmas morning! Happy Christmas everyone. Roger

Of course, Hayley is on her way home now; due to land in Christchurch on Christmas morning! Happy Christmas everyone. Roger Oh, shame on you Roger, missing it the first time round! Glad you like the recording though Thank you for hosting it, Gerrit! According to my observations and calculations as I write, at 17:52 GMT on December 24th, Hayley's plane taxied for takeoff at 14:32 yesterday the 23rd and headed for Los Angeles for a refueling stop. Then flight ANZ001 (the only ANZ flight from London to NZ yesterday I think!) headed home for Auckland where it was due to land... just over one hour ago at 5:30 am local time! So, Hayley should now be back on home soil and waiting for her connecting flight to Christchurch - where she should arrive around 8 am! Hayley, if I am right, and you read this on your laptop while waiting for your connection, [glow=darkblue,4,600] Merry Christmas Hayley, to you and your family [/size]][/glow][/center] and to all New Zealanders (most of whom will still be fast asleep in bed!). And, Hayley... if I may be so bold... you must try to stay awake for Christmas dinner! In fact, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone, everywhere, even if it isn't yet Christmas day where you are (like here!) and even if you don't actually celebrate Christmas! I really enjoyed listening to Hayley's songs from the Classic FM Christmas Concert. Thanks so much for recording it. Ave Maria was so delightful w/ the organ accompanyment. Silent Night was just spectacular.
Yes, welcome home Hayley. Oh, I wonder if you saw a sleigh and eight reindeer in the sky from the plane's window?
