Got your crystal ball all polished up and ready to have a go at 2009? Then by all means, post your predictions here! I'll start us off:
1. Hayley will meet U.S. President Barack Obama in June or July.
2. She will adopt a cat from the local pet shelter and name it "Purrcini".
3. Hayley's music will be played aboard the International Space Station.
4. A chance meeting with the cast of Coronation Street will lead to a recurring role for Hayley later in the year.
5. HWI will win an award for "Best Fansite for a Crossover Artist".
6. Peter and Roger will co-write a musical comedy about the amazing adventures of a group of dedicated fans supporting a Kiwi songstress in England.
7. In a career twist no one saw coming, Hayley will become highly proficient on the electric guitar, eventually jamming with Jimmy Page and David Gilmour.
8. Hayley will learn to sing in a Jazz style and record three Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn covers.
9. Some fans of Hayley will sponsor "Hayley-ween" parties on 31 October with her scariest songs playing throughout the night.
10. The cast of EastEnders will try to steal Hayley away to their side before the year's over.

There's many a true word spoken in jest........
1. Much to her fans' dismay, on doctors' orders Hayley ceases her famous post-concert "meet and greet" sessions in order to minimise further risk of infection and to protect her voice from undue strain.
2. Long-standing fans find they no longer have sufficient funds to attend as many concerts as they would like, a situation which becomes known as the "Hayley Crunch."
3. Hayley loses her title of "Fastest selling debut classical CD" to a 13 year old schoolgirl from Kettering but joins up with NZ dance champion Brendan Cole and ends the year in triumph by winning "Strictly Come Dancing". Her winning dance ? What else......."Dark Waltz." Unfortunately the result is declared void when John Sergeant claims someone in Derbyshire has voted for Hayley 6834 times but Hayley is reinstated as winner when BT promise to donate all the profits to the Playpump charity. Faryl meanwhile buys Kettering Town FC and immediately sells their top striker to Manchester United for £500 but they still finish the Premiership season in second place to the mighty LIVERPOOL !

OK, I'll have a go.
January - Hayley still on holiday in NZ. HWI membership passes 300. Several of the Valentines Tour concerts are reported to be sold out.
February - Hayley returns to the UK, and hits the ground running, having a total of 12 UK concerts to perform in the space of 19 days. Reports from the early Valentines Tour concert are that she has completely recovered from her illness, and what is more her voice seems stronger and more beautiful than ever. The remaining concerts sell out quickly. The rescheduled ROD concert at the Bridgewater Hall is a huge success, her performance of Wuthering Heights brings the house down. Hayley receives a full standing ovation that lasts for many minutes, and has to perform three encores.
March - Hayley's new Japanese album, imaginatively titled "Hayley Sings More Japanese Songs" is released in Japan, and in the middle of the month Hayley flies out to Japan to promote it. The album is a huge success, entering the top five in the main Japanese pop chart. Hayley performs a number of concerts in various locations in Japan to packed audiences. The new album is considered by fans to be even better than HSJS. HWI membership passes 350, thanks mainly to an influx of new Japanese members.
April - Hayley's three week tour of Japan ends, and Hayley returns for a few days to NZ to celebrate her birthday with her family. She then returns to London to start work on recording her fourth international Album.
May - Work continues on the new album, plus work associated with a new film soundtrack.
June - Hayley performs at a number of outdoor venues in the UK. She also records a new Live DVD taken from these concerts for general release worldwide.
July - More outdoor concerts and the two remaining rescheduled ROD concerts. Hayley is invited to make a guest appearance on Celtic Woman's new Album and DVD.
August - Hayley appears at a number of concerts in UK. A major concert tour of the USA is announced, to take place in November 2009.
September - Hayley's fourth international album is released simultaneously in many countries throughout the world, and received enthusiastically by critics and fans alike. The album does not qualify for the Classic FM chart, since ten of the twelve songs are Hayley's own compositions. This means that it gets no airplay at all in the UK, and therefore sales are less than was hoped. A series of concerts in the UK to promote the album, which includes the first recording of a song on which Hayley accompanies herself on guitar. She also plays the guitar on stage on the concert tour.
October - In the USA a DJ on a local radio station discovers Hayley's latest album and is blown away. He starts to play it (and rave about the fabulous "new" singer he has discovered) on his station, and the album becomes a big hit locally. This causes other radio stations to take note, and before long sales start to skyrocket all over the US. By the end of the month, the album enters the Billboard top 10, just in time for Hayley's tour of America. For once she seems to have timed things right. A huge influx of new American members raises HWI membership to over 1000.
November - Hayley's US tour is a huge success, and Hayley manages to avoid the health problems that dogged her the previous year. Hayley's album reaches no 1 in the US, followed by Pure, Odyssey and Celtic Treasure entering the top 100. The term "Hayleymania" is coined to describe her by now huge popularity in the United States. Hayleymania also spreads to the UK, as BBC radio reluctantly starts to play her music, and she is championed by Terry Wogan on Radio 2. The huge demand for Hayley's music results in a way being found to release HSMJS worldwide, which immediately goes to No. 1 in the album charts on both sides of the Atlantic. In order to thank her fans, and cash in on Hayleymania, Hayley records a Christmas album. UCJ/Decca are "so happy they can hardly count". Hayley performs at a private function attended by Presidant Obama.
December - Hayley returns to the USA to perform a number of high profile sell out concerts in locations like Madison Square Garden and The Hollywood Bowl, then back in the UK performs Christmas concerts in a packed O2 Arena and the National Indoor Arena. She also records a TV special to be broadcast worldwide, having refused to perform in a live TV broadcast at Christmas in order to be able to return to NZ and spend Christmas with her family.. Her new Christmas Album "Peace" is released , together with a beautiful single release of "O Holy Night" which for the first time for several years, keeps the single by the year's X Factor winner becoming Christmas No 1 in the UK. "Peace" immediately goes to No. 1 in the UK main album Chart, and the Classic FM chart (since this is regarded as "classical"). By this time Hayleymania has well and truly arrived in the UK, where seven of the top ten albums in the main UK chart involving Hayley, her Christmas album, her four international albums, HSMJS and ROD. Mike Oldfield's "Music of the Spheres" re-enters the top 20 in the UK, which together with Hayley's four albums that classify as "classical" occupy the top five positions in the Classic FM Chart. Pressure mounts for HSJS to be released outside Japan. Hayley uses her popularity as a platform to promote her charity work, resulting in a huge increase in donations to Hayley's charities. A number of other charities attempt to enlist Hayley's patronage, but due to the pressures on her time of her busy career, has reluctantly to decline most of them.
January 2010 - Hayley honoured in the Queen's New Years Honours for her "services to music".
Well, I can dream can't I?

Hayley honoured in the Queen's New Years Honours for her "services to music". I personally would like to see this one happen as I have previously posted and As New Zealand is a commonwealth country, I believe she would be able to use the title of "Dame Hayley" should this ever happen.

Hi Martin Interesting, but you missed the bit where she hosts a private dinner party for HWI members worldwide as a thank you for their support. Funded, of course, by DECCA/UCJ who have also now realised the value of HWI and accorded the site "official" status! Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant,
Not sure about that. Her Christmas album would be her fifth. Therefore her contract with UCJ/Decca would be fulfilled, and others would be fighting to sign up such a successful global artist. For all of my criticism of UCJ/Decca, I would hope that Hayley would show her loyalty by continuing to work with them. But whatever she chose to do, I know that HWI would continue to support her, And I know that fans like you and I will still love her whatever she decides to do.
Martin

Hi Martin Actually, because of a technicality, Hayley's Christmas album "Peace" would not qualify as her 5th international album. However, it is destined to become one of the most significant albums of all time as radio and TV stations around the globe aire it constantly, leading to cease fires in war zones around the world. Costa Pilavachi returns to DECCA/UCJ and immediately signs Hayley to a new record deal believed to be worth £10M. Hayley buys a holiday cottage in Derbyshire. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes Grant

Also, it could result in a huge increase in church attendance in late 2009, as the album brings home to people all over the world the true meaning of Christmas. Martin

Martin Delighted with both news, She deserves a good break but we have not had confirmation that her problem has clinically cleared. She may feel alright but that's not the same thing. Has the doctor given her a clean bill of health? She's about to have an hectic working start for 2009 but then, hopefuily she will switch out again for her birthday at home in April via Japan/UK?
