Well, all they did was play Prayer from Hayley's album. There wasn't anything like an interview.
So I won't put this on HWI.net.
Cheers

Hi Gerrit, I liked this broadcast so I've already encoded it from digital radio (not the Internet) as a good quality 64 kbps .wma file, I thought it was a bit "special". For those who didn't hear it, it's a live (or possibly prerecorded 'live') studio performance of Prayer by Hayley accompanied *only* by Fiona Pears on violin and Ian Tilley on piano. As such, I think it is a rarity, reminiscent of their touring performances together. It reminds me of the UNICEF concert and almost certainly provides a taste of what's to come on Hayley's next tour. You can ignore the short introduction by Ned Sherrin, spoken in his "Im bored reading this publicity handout" voice that I well remember from his many satirical shows in the past. He also has some trouble with his pronunciation ( Edit: This is now available from here - Gerrit's HWI.net index page. ) Cheers, Dave

Hello Dave and Gerrit! I really like that simple arrangement of "Prayer", and it was just as Hayley performed it in St. James's Church. It would be nice to have that clip as a permanent reminder, and so far we don't have too many clips of Fiona Pears and Ian Tilley. Please put it on the site Gerrit! Best Wishes, Richard

I second that, Gerrit. So often, the beauty of Hayley's voice is hidden by a full orchestral backing but it really stands out when accompanied only by Fiona and Ian. I love Fiona's violin part here - a simplicity that is soulful, almost mourneful at times which seems to be a perfect balance for the gorgeous vocal.
Thanks Dave!
Roger
