Hi Everyone I am a firm believer that Hayley's private life must be kept private but today in the Property section of the Mail on Sunday there is a surprising interview with Hayley in which she talks about her recent home purchase.
After three years of renting property in London she has finally decided to purchase her own home, a refurbished two bedroomed flat in Chiswick, London for the modest sum of £400,000. This may seem a lot of money to most of us but in London these days that is what you have to pay even for a flat.
For those not familiar with Chiswick, it is a charming small town/village only a few miles from the centre of London. Hayley goes onto say that one of the reasons she chose Chiswick was that it is where Decca are based (I never realized that) and also that she has several Kiwi friends nearby.
I was also surprised to read that she does not own her own TV but prefers to visit some of these friends to watch particular programs.
Hopefully, tomorrow the Mail on Sunday will publish this edition online so that our International members can read the article.
A very interesting read and a little surprising that Hayley has gone "public" on what is a very private matter. She does state though that one of the reasons why she has "settled" in London when she is in the UK is that she is able to remain anonymous here.

Martin Hi Martin, We can but hope it remains that way now she has told the world she is living in Chiswick. Actually, the article doesn't say she has bought the property, just that she has made an offer so there is no guarantee that she will get it. All we can say is: GOOD LUCK, HAYLEY! Roger

Hi Martin and Stuart, I'm delighted to hear that Hayley has found a home to buy which suits her so well! I wonder if her immediate neighbours will be fortunate enough to hear her practising her singing? Thanks a lot for sharing the scanned image of the newspaper article Stuart! Andrew

Hi everyone Many thanks for scanning this article in for us to read Stuart. I am so pleased Hayley has decided to buy property here in the UK. I hope she has sought some good professional advice - I am an independent financial adviser myself, with 15 years experience and would be only too pleased to have Hayley as a client. I am very used to helping first time buyers and I do already have a couple of reasonably well known people as clients. I would certainly look after Hayleys interests if I were her adviser - oh well, I guess I can dream can't I. I am sure that her record company or someone will be looking after her best interests. As you say Andrew, if you were her neighbour, you may hear her practicing i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest regards Mark

I'm pleasantly surprised that Hayley is on her way to owning a flat in London. That makes the property extra special. If she should decide to sell later on, just imagine what a handsome price it would fetch simply because "Hayley lived here!"
At least in the states, homes once lived in by well-liked celebrities are considered to have extra value. Hayley will add considerable cachet to any place she resides, and that includes the neighborhood as well.

Hi everyone,WOW good on yer Hayley, there is nothing like owning your own place. It puts a whole new meaning into you residing in the UK. It also makes sence to live where your work is and that is without doubt, the UK,as we say here in NZ “Go For It Kiwi” and it looks as though Hayley is about to do just that. A rather nice part of London too as I recall. Just for the record, Hayley's proposed investment here in NZ is worth:- 400,000 (GBP) = $1,126,731 (NZ ) $400,000 (NZ) = 142,004 (GBP) as at todays trading 29/01/07 It's pleasing to know Hayley's career is going well to support an investment of this amount. WELL DONE HAYLEY. My very best wishes to you Hayley, cheers all, Rodders CH CH NZ

Hi ,Great news if she has got her self a flat, That interview seems to be before Christmas,so she may know now. We quite often hear what area Hayley's living in so this is not any different. Can't say i like the bit about her feeling like shes in a fishbowl when shes in NZ should we look the other way. I think people are glad to have the rare opportunity to say hi to her. Belinda

Hello everybody! I'm surprised Hayley has gone quite so public about her private life, but I'm pleased she's decided to settle in West(enra) London! She should be able to lead a fairly normal life there, so perhaps she'll buy a TV next. Best Wishes, Richard

I'm still gob smacked that Hayley has gone public on her domestic whereabouts but it must have been approved by her Management and Decca. Which makes me wonder if it isn't just a masterly stroke of promotional opportunism with the release of Treasure imminent. Note that the first editorial paragraph mentions this Having said that this particular property section of the Mail on Sunday regularly has articles on celebrities' pads and moving plans. Good on yer, Hayley (or is this a bit Aussie!). i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMartin

We quite often hear what area Hayley's living in so this is not any different. Belinda Hi Belinda, It is different because, in the past, her accommodation has been rented and therefore likely to be only for the short term. Buying somewhere indicates that she intends it to be for somewhat longer. It is entirely her decision whether or not to reveal her location. I just hope she hasn't made herself another goldfish bowl in doing so. Roger

... I just hope she hasn't made herself another goldfish bowl in doing so. ... Or maybe it's all a ruse. Let the would-be stalkers think she's in one area when she's really nowhere near. Given the problems she's had, I would expect some misdirection is necessary from time to time.

Hi All, I'm sure Hayley knows exactly what she is doing... She's very astute and I'm sure she'll be very well protected by a number of bodyguards. Andrew

It's great news that Hayley is intending to settle in London after living in rented accommodation for so long. I don't think we should worry to much about her being "in a goldfish bowl" There are many celebrities living in and around London, most of whom have given some indication of the 'area' they live in, in the past.
I live in a village myself and village people generally get to know and look after each other. Hayley is already talking about being known and knowing local shops and from the article she sounds very happy.
As yet we don't know whether or not her offer has been accepted, there is no reference to the date of the interview and the article itself is only a day old.
Hope you are successful with your offer Hayley
Best wishes
Grant
P.S. Will your flat have enough room for 120 plus forum members at your house warming?!!
