Hi folks, I have just received a copy of this German official site newletter. Actually, I don't remember I have subscribed, but it is okay. There is nothing new on it. By using an online translator, I get the meaning. It mainly talks about that there is a new album 'treasure' and it is released in Germany on Hayley's birthday. There are many excellent songs on it and Hayley wrote some of them. The newsletter also shows links which links you to the German official site and some links which links to the three videos which Lothar mentioned in another thread. I don't know if I should paste the cotent here as it is in German. Will it violate the term of service? Cheers, Raymond

Hi Raymond,
Regretably, yes it would violate the terms of service to post the German newsletter but thank you for telling us about it. It is always of interest to know details of the promotion that Hayley is getting.

What does "violate the terms of service" mean? Only because it's in German? There isn't anything really new in the newsletter but I can translate it if you like. Just tell me.

Hi Thomas,
To "violate the Terms of Service" means it would break ProBoards rules. It is a strictly enforced rule that all posts must be in English. Only universally understood foreight words or phrases would be allowed.
Yes, if you are willing to translate it for us, I'm sure we would all like to know exactly what it said.
Thanks, Roger

So here is the translation from her German newsletter. The original can also be found on her German website. Dear Hayley Fans, Many of you know that 10th April is a special day: It's Hayley's birthday - and at that day her new album TREASURE is released is Germany. It's a real treasure chest - because it contains wonderful classical arias, Irish folksongs and Maori traditionals. Hayley comes from a very musical family which roots reach to Europe. And that is reflected by the new album. From her grandma she learned the Irish song "Danny Boy" and with her Hayley connects the earliest musical memories. Uncounted times she sat on her grandma's lap (?), sang together with her and were teached many songs by her like "Shenandoah" or "Sonny". That's why Hayley dedicated her album Treasure to her grandma. But not only these songs can be found on the new album. New music has to be written, means Hayley - music for the future. And so Hayley composed again own songs like "Let me Lie" or "Summer Rain". With "One Fine Day" from Puccini's Madame Butterfly and "Santa Lucia" - which became conspicuous by (?) Enrico Caruso - she also took famous classics into her repertoire. Finally she adores especially that songs are sung at home and that this tradition is passed from generation to generation: Try it with songs like "Du Bist Bei Mir" or "Abide With Me". We wish you a lot of fun with this special birthday present from Hayley to all of her fans! Have fun while listening wishes Your Hayley Westenra Team

Many thanks for the great translation, Thomas. I had tried to guess the meaning of the words before you posted this message, with no luck. Fortunately for me and my bad German, you're here !! Best wishes, Stephany
