Today I received the Asian Special Edition of Pure, YAY! This is the one with the bonus disc containing three videos: 1. Who Painted the Moon Black 2. The Making of Pure (Documentary) 3. I Dreamed A Dream The third one is from the Russell Watson concert in Auckland in February 2002 in which Hayley guested. It also appears on his DVD, "The Voice". The documentary, if you haven't got it, is a must for any serious collector but, for me, the real gem is 'Who Painted'. Like many of you, I had seen clips from it but I had never seen the full version before and it is absolutely delightful. Anyone else got it? Roger

Hello Roger! I haven't got this version of "Pure", but if the videos are like the video of "Pokarekare Ana" on the UK bonus edition, they can only be played through a computer, so I wouldn't be able to watch them anyway. Never mind, happy viewing! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

Hi Roger, Good to see you that version. It looks great, especailly with the VCD. I tried to order this one before from Amazon but all they had was a version from Germany (It said made in Germany but was the same as the UK version) . I remember you said you had problems before like this. I have another Special Asian Edition but it contains 'Mummers Dance', it came in a cardboard sleave. What is the Making of Pure documentary like?? Is it like the video they have on the official site showing Hayley with Giles Martin in Air Studios?? Cheers, Emmett

Hi Emmett, Yep, that's the very one. You have obviously seen it but, for those who have not, "The Making of Pure" video is mainly ecorded in Air Studios but with a few location shots. Hayley is interviewed and her family are occasionally seen. Other short interviews include Sir George Martin, Giles Martin, Russell Watson and Sarah Class. Several shots of Hayley recording are seen and one song or another is often heard in the background. Although it is on the official site, the disc is still a really good collector's item. As I said, the highlight was the video of "Who Painted" which I have never seen before. Someone here directed me to the site from where I ordered it. I am so sorry I can't remember who it was but I sure do thank you. If anyone else wishes to order it from the same place, go to: www.cdconnection.comIt reached me ten days later! YAY Roger

Is the 'Who Painted the Moon Black?' video the one with Hayley wearing a hat thingy and standing in front of some scenery?

Is the 'Who Painted the Moon Black?' video the one with Hayley wearing a hat thingy and standing in front of some scenery? Yes, that's the one Cathleen. Strange how that hat thingy suddenly "disappears" and then equally mysteriously returns later on! The images on the screens behind her show in sequence, a river flowing through snow-capped mountains beneath skudding clouds, starry night skies, the sea shore with waves breaking on the beach, a view of some spectacular rock stacks just off-shore (which look incredibly like Bathsheba in Brazil but, i'm sure they can't be). At all times, Hayley is standing in front of the screens whilst singing "Who Painted the Moon Black". The final shot is of a desert scene but then something rather magical happens. Intrigued? Good, order the CD! lol Roger

There is a video over at HW World for 'Who Painted The Moon Black' on the front page. It looks like the old 'Pokarekare Ana' video mixed in with some other footage. Was this the old video version?? Any ideas?? I wonder if Andy would know. There is a photo gallery of the video on his site. It refers to the video as version 1. I saw that...has anyone heard the 'radio edit' version of Who painted? Sounds kinda...scary

Well, hello #51! I have to admit, I love this version. The craftsmanship and creativity of the packaging is wonderful, with silver embossing on the front, top, side, and back! And I really like the cover of the bonus VCD. Just beautiful. -Taylor

Not a reply as such to your post Taylor but just an observation that the picture of Hayley on the Pure cover compared to that on your bottom banner is a wonderful example of how Hayley has changed over the years.
