The New Zealand Herald18th October 2003 YOU WANT HAYLEY WITH THAT? Who said Hayley Westenra didn't do pop? The Kiwi singer's latest promotion involves a specially designed mini one-track CD of her music attached to Coke cups in fast-food outlets throughout Singapore. Westenra's second album has now sold 59,000 copies in New Zealand (nearly four times platinum) and despite it becoming the fastest-selling debut in the British classical charts, her premier position has dropped to number eight. [source: www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/entertainmentstorydisplay.cfm?storyID=3529376&thesection=entertainment&thesubsection=general&thesecondsubsection ] Note: The above article has inaccurate info regarding the UK charts. Hayley is at #1 in the Classical charts. She did NOT drop to number 8 on that chart; rather, she moved back up to #8 on the Pop charts. Oh, and it's her third album, not second.
