After the unfortunate but unavoidable times recently I thought that it was time to be optimistic and look forward to what looks like a bumper year in 2009 for Hayley concerts and appearances. It starts with the UK Valentines tour with Jonathan Ansell commencing 6th February closely followed by a number of rescheduled River of Dreams concerts which temporarily halt on the 6th March before the last three are undertaken during May and July.
Then there is the likelihood of a busy Japanese tour during March/April (not yet confirmed) and after which there may be even the possibility of a few concerts back in New Zealand (but only speculation at present).
No doubt there will be other UK summer concerts announced in due course and who knows where else? I am sure that our very patient and loyal fans from the USA would like to see an appearance.
Then, of course there is the fourth album which I am sure we are all eagerly awaiting.
What more would you want to lift the economic gloom?

I have been reminded very strongly this weekend of this time last year. A happier time for sure, since our princess was in good health. If anyone in the know is reading this, I hope that we will be informed about her progress in recovering from this illness. We all want to see you back to full health Hayley. Certain people around me have passed comment on the lack of a recent Christmas album by Hayley, bearing in mind the wonderful performances we have seen of Christmas and other Christan songs by her. I was looking forward to the Barbican concert for that reason, but alas, it was not to be. So last night I created a new CD, based on the "Christmas Presence" concert at Cardiff in 2006, and very beautiful it is too. If you can't buy what you want in the shops, create it yourself based on the rich resources of HWI! The front cover of this CD is "The Littlest Star", based on Hayley's earliest Christmas show, and being the Star of Bethlehem, reminiscent of a dream I had last year which involved both Hayley's voice and the Star of Bethlehem.
So Martin, do you really mean her fourth album? Some people have around 60 already, without creating new ones for themselves as I have done. You don't even seem to have counted ROD in that. Hayley is a very prolific artist, and surely that is a reason to be cheerful. She will bounce back stronger than ever. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger (even if it is rather painful)!
In church today we were each asked to write down the name of a person who had brought us joy in the last year on a piece of card, which was then placed in a Christmas tree in the church. No prizes for guessing the name that went on my card. So Hayley's name is now in a Christmas tree in Christ Church. Seems appropriate somehow.

After the unfortunate but unavoidable times recently I thought that it was time to be optimistic and look forward to what looks like a bumper year in 2009 for Hayley concerts and appearances. You are quite right Martin! We have to look to the future. I'm sure Hayley will and will hope everyone else will once she begins to feel in control of her destiny once more I was feeling very down because of recent events. The roller-coaster concert schedule I had arranged for myself fell in tatters. Disappointing, yes! But my thoughts have always been ultimately for Hayley's health and wellbeing. I had a list of dates and concerts with seat numbers and hotels and other details blue tacked to the wall above my desk and it hurt to take it down when I realised most of it would not now happen. Then, possitivity took over! I recreated my list for next year and stuck it defiantly back on my wall. I have ten concerts booked between February and July to look forward to and boy! am I looking forward to seeing Hayley back in full voice next year. Yes Martin! Time to be cheerful, I'm sure Hayley wouldn't want us to be otherwise! Best wishes Grant

Hello everybody! So far I've only got two Hayley concerts booked for next year, at the London Palladium and Southend, but I'm really looking forward to them. I'm sure I'll see many of you at both of them. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifGet well soon, Hayley! Best Wishes, Richard

Unfortunately, for the first time for over a year, I don't have any Hayley concerts booked. The reason is I know that Sue will be going into hospital for a major op, probably in February, so I want to keep my options as open as possible. I'm sure I will get to see Hayley sometime next year I'm just not sure when right now!

Hello again folks! This board has now been renamed 'Awards and Celebration'. I hope it will be a nice busy board for Hayley in 2009. Richard
