I'm very sorry to hear this sad news.
Hayley, you're doing the right thing by escaping the British winter. I hope you soon make a full recovery and enjoy a really good Christmas break with your family and friends in New Zealand.
See you in February,
Lots of love,
Richard xxx

Sad news indeed although I had feared this may happen. Hope you have a good rest Hayley and come back stronger next year. (The official site still seems unaware of the news. They've just emailed me details of the Barbican !)

So sorry to hear of the sudden change of plans for December.
Hayley, I hope that the southern sun and family care will put you back on the road to full recovery.
Now we are all suffering from SAD syndrome.
With love and best wishes, Drew

Hello everyone Well, if today's weather in Derby is anything to go by, Hayley is definitely doing the right thing by flying home! It has been cold, foggy and damp all day just what you don't need for a chest complaint and if, as Ross suggests, summer has already arrived in Christchurch, it has got to be the best place for Hayley to be. On the basis that I don't suppose for a minute she'll want to sit around doing nothing all day, it may give her the opportunity to write a few more songs for the next album. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes Grant Whatever you decide to do Hayley, make the most of your time at home with family and friends. Relax, unwind, recharge and bring that gorgeous smile of yours winging its way back to us in the new year.
Lots of love Grant xxx

Hi everyone
I am so sad to hear the news, but in another way I feel relieved that Hayley will be going home to her family and a warmer climate, where she can get fully well again. I know Hayley loves living in her own flat and loves living in London and I am sure she has friends that have been looking out for her but, theres nothing like home when your not feeling well and I am sure this is exactly what Hayley needs right now.
Hayley, I am sure you have made the right decision to go home now and get yourself well again. Obviously I will miss seeing you and being able to wish you a personal 'Happy Christmas'. Still, my thoughts are with you and my wish is that when you return to the UK in the New Year, you will be back to your 'old self'' again.
Take care of yourself
Lots of love Mark x

Hi Hayley! It's sad to hear you're still feeling unwell. So flying back to a warm NZ summer is the best decision! Enjoy the time with family and friends and enjoy also the long holiday which you've already deserved for a long time. Please don't feel bad because of your fans. We know you would never let anybody down. Concentrate on your recovery. Your health is the most important!!!Lots of love, Thomas

I recall last year in Nov or Dec that Hayley was not feeling up to par. I'm wondering if the harsh fall climate in the U K is unhealthy for Hayley. I certainly hope not since I love to come to the U K . Perhaps it's those out of doors events she should avoid. Of course Hayley would be more than welcome in the U S late in the year. We have states that are warm year round. Whatever, the important thing is now that Hayley get well. I think some TLC from Jill and family and some hot chicken soup coupled with the warm climes of New Zealand will do Hayley a world of good. Hayley is truly a gift from God. All my prayers are with her.
Larry

I never liked it when she went to Basra, not a clean place to be, in any sense.
I am very happy to hear that she is going home to heal once and for all, as I already pointed that this is the logical move to me.
Rest and enjoy home, Hayley. We'll see you in spring, fresh like a new-bornt rose!

Hi Roger and thank you for relaying this very sad news. On a personal note, I am sorry to hear that I will not see Hayley's beautiful smile nor hear her amazing voice, nor be able to wish her a Happy Christmas in person as I have done for the last three years, but .... I'm comforted by the above comment from Kathryn's message. To be so far from home at a time like this must be very difficult for Hayley who must, by now, feel very lonely and to know that she will soon be home with her family is good to know, as I'm sure she needs them more than anything else right now. Best wishes Grant God speed Hayley. We'll have a big HWI welcome waiting for you when you return to us next year.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with you and your family as they always have.
Lots of Love Grant xxxEntirely agree, Grant and as usual I checked with this site before leaving for Swansea, so this time I am saved the travel expenses as by default I decided I would use the car. I myself have been battling the decision to go as I have something nasty of seasonal inclination and been wondering if I should make it or not, having definitely decided I was NOT going back stage door at all! God Bless you Hayley we all understand how very down you must feel and wish you well, love and kisses! Peter S.

You raise an interesting but worrying point, Larry, that Hayley does not acclimatise well to UK winters. Our history, for those who can afford it, has always been to seek sunnier climes during our winter period! Peter S.

I have just been listening to "Treasure" and thinking that the lyrics of "Let Me Lie" are very pertinent at present to Hayley and her family and friends. We all wish Hayley our sincere love and best wishes to get well quickly and come back in the new year fit and well: "Heal me through as I lie Here with you Heal me through Let me sleep and keep me close" Martin
