Sorry we didn't know about this in time but, just for the record, I will mention it anyway..... The BBC Radio 2 programme entitled 'The Green Room' presented by Mariella Frostrup on Friday 9th September, featured Hayley singing 'O Mio Babbino Caro'. According to the BBC website, Radio 2 has a *reach* of 13.3 million per week. Dave (or anyone)... What is meant by the word "reach" in this context? Is it the amount who actually listen (albeit estimated), or is it the amount of people capable of receiving the programme? If it is the former, then their audience is approximately double that of Classic FM. Roger

Hi Roger, and thanks to sal, we DID know about it! Look! Would you be surprised to discover that I recorded it? Weekly Reach is the number of people aged 15+ who tune to a radio station within at least 1 quarter-hour period over the course of a week. So basically, it's the number of weekly listeners excluding younger children. Radio 2 is the 'biggest' UK radio station with 16% of all radio listening. Classic FM has 4.2% of radio listening, the comparative difference (compared to weekly reach) is because people listen to Radio 2 for longer periods of time. So getting airplay on Radio 2 is a HUGE bonus for Hayley, nearly 4 times better than Classic FM, and every time she is played on Radio 2 she jumps up the Amazpn chart that day i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDave

I thought it seemed familiar but, for some reason, I couldn't find the original post tonight. Sorry sal! Thanks for clarifying the Weekly Reach, Dave. That was your starter for ten. For your bonus marks..... Name them! Roger
