I am SO going.
Just ordered my tickets. Row H. Not so bad. Wish I checked earlier, but what can you do.
Jonathan is such a bonus. I love his voice. I haven't seen Hayley since 2005 - this is going to be great!
Err... what are they singing? I didn't even bother to check...

Hi Nicola, Good to hear from you. We are unlikely to know what they will be singing until the night but I imagine they will each have a number of solos and a few duets. Whatever, it will be good to have an event in central London again. I look forward to seeing you there. Roger

I'm really excited. I booked two tickets before even telling my friend about it. He is just going - simple as that. He enjoyed Hayley last time in St James' Church. Hayley is somebody I truly enjoy live. There is magic about her when she is singing to a live audience. 2009 is set to be a good year. Hayley in February. Sunset Boulevard in April (they have re-opened it in London!) and Beauty and the Beast in June, as it is on tour. Sarah Brightman will come at some point in 2009 too. Now all is needed is a visit from Josh Groban again and a gig from Vanessa-Mae; what has happened to her?

I see this concert has been given extra prominence on the flyer for the tour. Hi Richard, not to forget the flyer from the Palladium itself - recent from London Cheers, Karsten

I tried booking tickets through See Tickets and the best they had to offer now were either Rows H,J or K in the Stalls. I was about to book but then decided to try some other agents first - I came across the site for Ticketline and they were able to get me a pair of seats in the centre of row E in the stalls and the booking fee was slightly lower at £3. After getting my refund from the Barbican tickets this week, I couldn't resist booking for this concert!

Hello folks! I'm really looking forward to this concert now. I haven't been back to the London Palladium since Hayley's concert there in March 2004. 48 days to go! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you there, Richard

Hello folks! I'm really looking forward to this concert now. I haven't been back to the London Palladium since Hayley's concert there in March 2004. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSee you there, Richard At least we know you know the way backstage! That would have been my first time meeting her but she had the directors of NZ Air in her dressing room and the delay of two hours(?) I could not risk my train due to those wretched works on the western line. I did see Sir George and Lady Martin catch a cab but otherwise I had to wait until Derngate to actually meet her, hence my being there this year when she repeated her visit. 2009 looks perky for me with the rescheduled performances + Valentine's tour. No news yet of later in the year developments apparently. One would have expected a post from Gerald if her condition had cleared but perhaps she has not had the chance of being checked over with the holiday period? Peter S.

I am getting very excited about the tour I plan to get there early so I can catch Hayley and Jonathan before they go into theatre I can not wait afterwards as I got long way home and Im by myself Enjoy the show Natalie ! Maybe I shouldn't comment on this thread since I tend to arrive at concerts at the last minute but I have noticed a growing trend over the last year or two for fans to arrive at a venue hours in advance with the express intention of "catching" Hayley on her way into the concert hall. I understand some fans meet up for a drink or meal beforehand or like Natalie cannot wait around afterwards due to travel commitments. Their excitement at meeting Hayley is perfectly understandable but I can't help wondering if Hayley or her management really welcome this attention prior to an event ? I've often heard Hayley mention she tries to "save" her voice before a concert by not speaking too much which given her recent illness is all the more understandable. You have to remember that she's really "off duty" until the concert starts. It's like you arrive for work at the office and before you get a chance to get your case and laptop out of the car one of your customers is already wanting to talk to you about your latest product ! What do others think ?

What do others think ? You raise a point of caution that we should all note and has always bothered me but there is a 'tradition' in that Richard very early on met her by chance at the start of a concert (I think the London Palladium) and showed her where the stage door was as her taxi pulled up at the 'customer' door when the stage door was in another street. The key thing is that Hayley can always ignore, or just wave and caarry on which she sometimes does and on the occasion she arrived (running late) at the open-air event last year she waved at everyone most enthusiastically and seemed delighted to see them as also happened at other venues when I happened to be early with them. The key is to be subtle enough to notice how she responds and to be sensitive to it. Almost invariably it is an enthusiastic response, judging by the instantaneous lighting up of her eyes and a jolly wave that indicates it is not a polite response but an honest gladness. Peter S.

Hi Jeff,
Speaking for myself, I fully agree with you. Although I often arrive at the venue several hours before the event, it is specifically to meet up with other members and not to deliberately try to intercept Hayley when she arrives which I have always tried to discourage for the very reasons you state. However, when this was last raised, I emailed Bedlam Management to ask if they or Hayley saw it as a problem. As I received no reply, I can only conclude that they don't. I therefore do not intend to impose any sort of restriction but would ask everyone concerned to be extremely mindful that Hayley does, indeed, like to protect her voice on the day of a performance by speaking as little as possible and that we must never try to delay her arrival (or departure).
Thanks, Roger
