I'm going to see her in Preston on 5th Dec.
Anybody else going to a concert in this tour?

I'll quote these posts from the thread about Hayley's Christmas concert in Edinburgh on 13th December. I'm trying to keep that thread on topic. Sadly I will be unable to make this concert. I am in Birmingham the night before (Katherine Jenkins) and at Wembley on the Sunday afternoon so I think trying to do Edinburgh on the Sat would be a bit of a rush Guess what! Sue and I will be at Katherine's concert too! Shall we set up a HWI meet at a KJ concert? Would that be a first? I gather we shall see Farryl Smith perform too!
Martin Maybe a second, Martin ....
There will be at least three HWI members at Katherine's concert in Dublin on 29th November.

Thanks to Paddy ( Who gave me his ticket) I saw Katherine a week ago or so, she said hello and thanks to all her forum members and thanked them for their support during her recent tribulations, also sang a new song from her forthcoming Warner Brothers album.. Met Dazza and his group there and a hoard from Kildare :2fun: and a few from Dublin too. Thanks Paddy for the ticket, hope you enjoyed the concert

Here are some of the best pictures I took on 5th Dec in Preston: It was an excellent concert, I had a good seat on the 2nd Row. I'm not ashamed to admit that when Katherine sang Abide With Me, it nearly had me in tears. I prefer Katherine's version of Hallelujah over the version from the X-Factor winner: Alexandra Burke. Dean edit: Sorry Roger, I didn't check my image sizes, I think they should be in order now

Hi Dean,
Thanks for the fine photographs of Katherine but the average file size is more than double the forum limit. I regret I therefore had to remove the image tags. If you can downsize them to a maximum of 100 Kb each, please feel free to edit them back in.
Thanks, Roger

I have just seen it is on again tonight at 20.00 same Sky channel as above. In fact it was newly recorded for Christmas, at the same venue, but different locations It fitted in with the recent tour as Blake were her guests and they did two pieces, Katherine did hers in some stunning locations with even more stunning dresses ! Sorry I was not able to give more advance notice but I only saw it myself an hour before it was due to start. Graham

I prefer Katherine's version of Hallelujah over the version from the X-Factor winner: Alexandra Burke. Dean Yes, I agree. Sue received a copy of Alexandra's single for Christmas. The person who gave it to her obviously hadn't realised Sue had heard Katherine sing it a couple of weeks earlier at the Birmingham NIA. There is no comparison in my opinion. Perhaps Katherine should have released it as a single too, to add to the mulip;licity of versions of that song that are around at the moment. Katherine might have got a Christmas no. 1 out of it! Of course one of the presents that I bought for Sue was Katherine's album Sacred Arias, which includes that song. I thnk we will have to be careful about playing it when a certain person is around! Hi All,
Frankly, I have completely lost interest in Katherine. I haven't updated KJI for more than 3 months now, and I won't spend any of my time on her until there's a reliable source of information that suggests she will continue in the Classical/Crossover field.
I doubt very much that this will happen.

Hi Gerrit,
Sorry to hear that! I enjoyed her concert the other week. Do you expect her to make a move into Opera soon then?

Since she was classically trained at the Royal College Of Music it's hardly the greatest surprise in the world that she's decided to go into opera. She probably feels she's achieved all she can in what is an increasingly crowded crossover market.
