Hello Sal! You've just beaten me by forty minutes, but I'll forgive you this time! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt's good to see Hayley getting plenty of radio coverage, but unfortunately she isn't visiting any of London's local radio stations. The only station I might be able to pick up is BBC Radio Kent, but I won't be at home at 11am! I'm sure Dave can pick up BBC Radio Solent, and Roger BBC Southern Counties Radio. Nothing on Merseyside I notice! Bye for now, Richard

Thanks for that information Sal, I've just finished listening to and recording Hayley's Radio Nottingham interview, it lasted over half an hour and she had 45 minutes to drive to Leicester for the next one... in a few minutes time at 4:30 Most of the BBC local radio stations are live on the internet!!! Hayley was live in the studio with her dad who is, I assume, her chauffeur for the day i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHayley said she will be on GMTV next Monday morning and she will soon be on Blue Peter... and Through the Keyhole - who filmed at her London flat... broadcast in November i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThey played about 4 tracks from Odyssey, What you Never Know, Ave Maria, Del Amore non Si Sa, Never Saw Blue but hey, that's all for now as I'm off to listen to the next one on BBC Radio Leicester ... more later Dave

Hi Dave, I also listen to the Nottingham one and I have recorded it. I have just sent you the show in 6 parts. Could you help me upload them so that HWI members can listen to it? I don't know how to upload them. Thank you.
Cheers, Raymond

If I know exactly when she will be on, I may be able to sneak out and listen to some of it but I will have no means of recording it. Looks like you could be in for a busy time, Dave! Roger

I don't know how to upload them. Thank you. Cheers, Raymond Hi Raymond, it's great that you managed to record it all and yes, I did receive the emails. I am certainly glad I read your message in the forum first, before I downloaded my emails! Receiving 30 MB of attachments took quite a long time and would have given me quite a shock! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Strangely, my email client accepted two of them into my Inbox and threw the other four into the "spam" box... but I have them now. I find it's usually better to discuss these sorts of big emails before actually sending the files - many ISPs will not handle them at all and others have tight limits on storage space. We are lucky that my ISP *will* handle them Unfortunately, I cannot upload them as there is not enough free space in my personal webspace, you may have noticed that I have had to delete "O Mio Babbino Caro" to accommodate "Ave Maria" and I still have at least two more files from Manchester to upload. It is Keith and Simon who run the actual HWI website... which is undergoing some big changes this week so I'll let Keith answer the question about uploading there. So let's have a think about this, my own audio file of the interview is 12 MB in total (48 kbps, similar to the BBC internet feed) but I have no space for even that at the moment. Do please keep recording them, I will do, whenever I can, and we can then decide what to do with them all and how to do it. [rapidshare recommendation now deleted due to their use of inappropriate ads.] Did you manage to capture any of their Live studio webcam images? I got one of Hayley in the studio... just before the end (below) but it didn't seem to be updating very often. You have to look very closely to see her!!! Cheers, Dave Hayley at BBC Radio Nottingham 15 September 2005

Hi Dave, Do you still have the details of my FTP account? I've got Gigabytes to play with - and would ensure that the files become available at HWI. Seeing that you mentioned you had to delete files already, I will put the three you have uploaded on HWI.net soon More later ===== (added at 2:57): Hi all, adding to the above, at groups.msn.com/RussellWatsonHayleyWestenra/hwmultimedia2005.msnw, which is the page where HWI.net makes videos available, the three videos of the Manchester Proms Dave already made available can now be downloaded permanently. Cheers

Thanks for hosting those files Gerrit, I have now deleted 'May It Be from Manchester' (I will edit the link in my original posts) and I have uploaded the BBC Radio Nottingham interview. The file I used is my own recording as it's only 12 MB (48 kbps, 35 minutes) and Raymond's are unfortunately too large (at 128 kbps, over 30 MB total). I've cut out the station breaks, news summaries etc so the 35 minutes is all Hayley... including 4 tracks from Odyssey. This interview is excellent, as Raymond can confirm. Nick Brunger gave Hayley plenty of time and she was very relaxed for the most part... although it may have made her late for the next interview in Leicester i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif (this was much shorter and nowhere near as good). The full Nottingham interview is now available from here - Gerrit's HWI.net index page.

Many thanks again, Dave. I am currently 8 minutes into the interview and already it sounds brilliant.

Hayley's flat?..... Oh no she isn't - she's delightfully natural! Roger

I have now listened to the entire interview which, as Dave said, is excellent. But why, oh why did they have to mention CC yet again? Will she never be free of this comparison?

Many thanks Dave and Gerrit! The BBC Radio Nottingham interview is truly inspirational, and Hayley is still as natural and genuine as ever. I was particularly interested to hear how Decca let her have a bigger say in the production of "Odyssey", and quite right too. You only have to look at Hayley's track record to see that she knows exactly what she's doing, and does it all extremely well! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI thought the CC bit was rather unnecessary, but Hayley handled it brilliantly. I'm looking forward to hearing more of Hayley on her radio tour, but really this has got to be the definitive interview. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi everyone, I've taped Hayley's two radio interviews today off the internet but I haven't yet been able to edit out the ads/station IDs and other non Hayley stuff. I'll be able to do this in 4 or 5 hours time but if anyone else (Raymond?) has already completed this, feel free to post it! I'm trying to remember some of the highlights... oh yes, at SAGA radio this morning, they played yet another new - THIRD - version of "What You Never Know" but then, at BBC WM Coventry this afternoon (Hayley was late again, LOL) they played the original "new" version - version 2 as played on The Green Room - so now, I am TOTALLY confused about what the "A" side of the single will be i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAlso, Hayley said she would like to record a duet of the Streisand/Dion song "Tell Him" with her sister Sophie!!! Hold your horses, I said 'would like to'... not WILL! And this afternoon we had a real treat, next Friday it's her dad Gerald's birthday and the presenter got Hayley to sing "Happy Birthday to You" to him live on air... it was a trio I think with two from the studio and Hayley but Hayley still sounded wonderful!!! That's all for now... back later! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
