Admittedly, I didn't vote for Wuthering Heights either but I want to say I absolutely love it to bits. It is probably my second favourite from Pure (after Pokarekare Ana).
Emmett has suggested that the politics over WH not being released as a single may have put people off the song. I think that is unlikely as very few of Hayley's fans would be aware that it was ever intended to be released as a single. Or did you just mean the ten of us who have voted here so far, Emmett?
As for the Japanese singles, I have got 'Amazing Grace' and 'Wiegenlied'. If anyone can point me in the right direction to enable me to buy Wuthering Heights I shall be forever grateful.

Hi Roger, Yeah I just meant everyone here in the group. I thought before that many didnt like it but its good to know that I was wrong.  There is a copy of 'Wuthering Heights' over at Ebay for bid. It's the Japanese version with:- 1. Wuthering Heights (New Version) 2. Pokarekare Ana (New Version) 3. Hine e Hine (Acoustic Version) 4. Away In A Manger 5. I absolutely LOVE Dark Waltz.. but Pokarekare Ana introduced me to the magic of Hayley's voice and I can't forget that. "My Heart & I" is definitely my fav. Too bad it wasn't on the US version of Pure. "Dark Waltz" and "Who Painted the Moon Black" and "Pokarekare Ana" are all tops for me!

I believe many Hayley fans would have seen her with Frank Skinner, either on TV or on the HWI main site, when she said "Wuthering Heights" would be released as a single in March 2004. I believe the problem was that Kate Bush was going to make a come-back, so she objected to the video track. The sad thing is, Kate Bush doesn't seem to have come back yet, but who cares? I just got to see that Frank Skinner interview last week.
I cant believe some of the things he was saying to Hayley, but I suppose we know what Frank Skinner is like. I think it was a mistake picking that particular show but he does get high ratings.
Maybe in the lead up to the release of 'Odyssey', I hope there will be some tv appearances. (with some hosts who actually have an interest in their guests)
Regarding 'Wuthering Heights' I think that would have done well in the charts, seeing how popular it is. It probably would have helped Kate Bush's career.

Hello again Emmett! I thought Hayley did a brilliant job in keeping Frank Skinner under control, and she came over as very mature while Frank was being rather childish! I didn't think much of his singing at the end! To get back on topic, I was disappointed "Wuthering Heights" was never released as a single, because it was going to be a different recording of the vocal from that used on "Pure". I remember it was a very popular track when "Pure" was in the pop charts, but nobody has yet voted for it in this poll. It's interesting to see how people's opinions change with time!
