Absolutely. I don't suppose they will see this, but I'd like to congratulate them too.

Some of you may remember several recent mentions to the Welsh soprano Elin Manahan Thomas. To be honest, I am pretty much amazed by her voice, and I will definately be buying her album Eternal Light (as I love the tracklist choice, so many beautiful Baroque pieces). Well, looking around, I found on youtube a TV appearance of her and Jonathan Ansell singing the famous duet Libiamo ne'lieti calici from Verdi's La Traivatta. I prefer Elin's Baroque style, but they are both amazing on this performance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9oNBcwr8b0Michal

Hi all i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI've said this on Jonathan Ansell's website but I wanted to add it here too,.. CONGRATULATIONS DEBBIE AND JONATHAN ANSELL!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif from his website: Siena Valentine Ansell was born at 2am on 24th November 2010, weighing 6.4 lbs. Both Siena and Debbie are fit and well. We are obviously over the moon! It was a long night, flight and finally train ride home from Aberdeen where I was playing His Majesty’s Theatre with Keith Dewhurst’s Lark Rise to Candleford. The call came from Debbie late on 22nd November. I was with some of the cast enjoying a post show pint. They were all very excited and wished Debbie and me well with what was to become the most life changing experience ever! It’s unbelievable that we are now not just married but 'Parents'. I am really looking forward to nurturing this very special little person. Many thanks for the lovely messages, cards and presents they have all been gratefully received. Jonathan xx Congratulations again to you both...and welcome Siena! best wishes Sing

Jonathan was also on the ITV show Sing If You Can Here's a link to a video on youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-daGXWRxQ9EI hate the presenters of this show..apart from that I think it wouldn't necessarily be a bad show as it's for charity- I really like his attempt at Ave Maria- it must have been so difficult to sing surrounded by balloons bursting all around you and other things!! Also, apparently he has an album out in June but I can't find any more information about it..perhaps i'm not looking in the right places haha!! best wishes Sing

Hi everyone! Jonathan Ansell has posted the following on his forum regarding his new album and I thought I would share it all with you. I thought that I would post this if there's anyone here who is interested in supporting Jonathan's new project. I think it's an absolutely fabulous idea. I've made my pledge in support of his album and I really hope it works out well for Jonathan. An email from Jonathan's forum explains it a bit further: The idea is that you can simply pledge for the album or pledge for additional features, such as signed or with photos etc. There's also an option for pledging additional money for Jonathan to come and cook for you in your kitchen! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I wonder if I pledged for that whether he'd fly all the way to Australia!? (I just went for a signed copy of the album). Cheers, Jillian

Hi Jillian Thanks for posting this very interesting story. This idea is certainly very innovative, if not ground-breaking, and I wish Jonathan good luck. However, it is very sad that someone as talented as Jonathan has to resort to this kind of fund raising. I only hope that Hayley never has to adopt a similar approach.
Best wishes Martin

Hi Martin, Oh yes, I agree. It's a shame what's happening to the music industry at the moment. I'm so glad that Hayley managed to get herself established before the wheels fell off. But Jonathan seems to be doing very well with his stage work and I'm sure that he will continue to enjoy the support of his very loyal fanbase which will enable him to continue releasing music - albeit probably not on the large scale as he once did. But it's certainly better than nothing and it is one benefit of the internet age that artists can do things like this and spread their music. It might be the case that ideas such as Jonathan's pledge system will continue to become more and more utilised. Cheers, Jillian
