Hi again Grant, Good to hear (well 'read' anyhow) I just received an email to tell me mine had been sent. The mag was NZ$6.30 & postage to OZ NZ$10.
Thanks again Belinda for drawing attention to it.
I notice that the AUS Women's Weekly Oct 2006 is identical to NZ's except for the Hayley article.
It's hard to find an Aussie who's heard of her. (& i've asked plenty)
Amazing....Graemek

Thanks so much for scanning that article, Belinda. I was interested to see that Hayley is "living on a tight budget." Hmmm....... In fairness she didn't actually say that, the journalist put the caption on a photo. All the same, those of us in the UK who have been struggling with soaring energy bills know all about living on a tight budget and I guess the cost of living in London is higher than elsewhere. I remember a few years ago Jonathan Shallit (Charlotte Church's ex-manager) let slip in an interview that he'd got Charlotte a "really good deal" with Sony. For every album she sold she got £1. That sounds like a better deal for Sony to me and maybe that's why Mr Shallit is now her ex-manager. All the same, if you sell a few million albums, then that's the sort of "tight budget" we could all do with !

Now that is interesting. Am I to understand that New Zealand's Woman's Weekly doesn't have the Hayley article? But then, perhaps perversely but understandably, it would be as hard to find a New Zealander who had NOT heard of Hayley as it appears to be hard to find an Australian who has! Peter S.

Hi Peter, I think its the other way around, The Magazine is The Australian Womens Weekly, which does not have the Hayley article, but the New Zealand Edition of the Australian Womens Weekly that does. Are you now totally confused? Cheers! Steve.

Hello Peter and Steve! Hayley is certainly well known here in the UK, but the UK edition of the Australian Women's Weekly doesn't have the article either! Now I'm confused too! Richard

Richard I think I know the reason now. Because it is Australian Women's Weekly NZ edition, we will find NZ people inside. Aus edition-Aus people. UK version- UK people. So, Hayley is only in the NZ edition. Raymond

Richard An even more interesting tangle to the thread! I thought the Australian (and NZ for that matter) version of Woman's Weekly was Woman's Weekly Aus and NZ versions of the UK magazine. But then, I don't normally buy women's magazines! Peter S.

I have also found i am consistently wrong calling it the singular not the plural magazine! Peter S.

I have also found i am consistently wrong calling it the singular not the plural magazine! Very well spotted, Peter! I was making the same mistake, so I've just moderated my own posts to correct my error. I also had to moderate a few quotes to hide the evidence! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThe UK Woman's Weekly is clearly a completely different magazine, but as I don't read it, how should I know? Bye for now, Richard

The scan tells us that the magazine is entitled "The Australian Women's Weekly", below which it states that this is the New Zealand Edition. Roger

Roger Oh boy, what a range of titles, who owns whom I think is the invited question? Or perhaps who sired what from which stable? On top of which I was once a proof reader! As Conan Doyle had Holmes say so often to Dr Watson: 'You have seen but you have not observed'! Peter S.

A quick update on ordering this mag from NZ.
The NZ order page does not include a field for the three digit verification code on the back of the card as is the case here in the UK, so, initially, I didn't include which resulted in my card provider rejecting the billing.
I emailed this subsequently and my order has now gone through. It must therefore be necessary to include ALL the numbers in the one field.
Hope that's not confused everybody!!
Grant

The photo where Hayley is sitting down - It would look good as an album cover. What do you think?
