Hello Everyone, Since being a member here, I have always been curious about what happened on July 1, 2007, 5.13 a.m....when you all had 125 users on line? I guess it still holds the record. If someone can think back that far and let me know, I would appreciate it. Thank You, My Best to All, Howard

Hello Howard,
Many "guests" which view forums are what are called "bots". A bot a small program script used by search engines like Yahoo to look at websites' content. This information is later saved by the search engine to provide fast data when a specific word is being searched.
Late June, 2007, the Yahoo search engine was modified. Instead of one or two search bots crawling the web, hundreds of bots were out there. Over 100 found their way to our HWI Forum.
This forum set the "most users online" record several times on July 1st. The search bot, although it acts like a online guest, isn't picked up by our stat counter.
So, during that specific time and date, there may have been only a dozen actual members and guests on the forum.
Hope this helps! Best wishes,
Joe
PS. Roger, would you like to add to what I have here?

Roger, would you like to add to what I have here? Hi Joe, So what you are really saying is that the 'record' is not really a genuine number as it contains many search engines 'searching' Graham
