Hi Dave, many thanks for your recording in advance. Kind regards, Lothar No, he won't be recording in advance! Even Dave's not that clever! Roger Oh, I'd never thought of that... I must Google for some suitable software! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif But actually, I almost tried it on Sunday afternoon... Keith emailed me at 4pm asking me to start recording it there and then... and I fell for it at first!

Here it is, folks. 48kbps, 8m 27s, 3MB. Sorry, file now removed* (for HWI and private download only). They played Quanta Qualia after the interview and hey, I recorded Patrick Hawes' original version the other night. Hayley's version improves on it. Seriously! Edit: I've had to remove the interview now, due to lack if space in my web pages. If anyone would like it restoring, just ask.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the download.
I just caught it live on the streaming audio too.
Very short I thought but seeing the amazing lineup of performers for the whole show its no wonder.
Interesting to see Hayley was on the phone from Auckland.

Hi Dave, Interesting to see Hayley was on the phone from Auckland. Emmett If it really was live, it would have been 3.15 in the morning in New Zealand! Oh yes, thanks Dave! Roger

Hi Roger,
Another question there for Manchester I think.
The list is getting long.

The song is beautiful. From the two tracks I've heard "Odyssey" seems to have a lot of similarities to "Pure."
For instance "What you never know" is very much like "Never say Goodbye." How the beat gradually grows (radio version anyways, lol) and yet how the vocal part is very simple.
This song reminds me of "Benedictus" because of the extremely high vocal part and choral in the background.
For me anyways, these similarities are wonderful!!

I've loved this song ever since I heard the sample on the e-card, and I'm so happy to finally hear it in full. Thanks for putting the link up! I wonder if Hayley did some of the choral parts in the background.
Very lovely song.

Thank you for bringing us that wonderful interview Dave! I first heard Hayley being interviewed on the radio during BBC Radio 2's Good Morning Sunday on 28th September 2003. She sounds a little calmer now, but she hasn't really changed, and she has clearly enjoyed recording "Odyssey", just as she enjoyed recording "Pure". "Quanta Qualia" sounds better every time I hear it, and Hayley's soaring vocals are simply incredible and truly angelic. With all the other classical tracks on "Odyssey", I'm sure we will be hearing plenty of Hayley on Classic FM during the coming months. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard
