Thanks Grant! It was most unfortunate that my previous post was the first one on a new page, so you've got me out of trouble! Richard

Roger is probably saving his 6000th post until he has something important to tell us You'll have a long wait then! Thanks very much for your kind words in the previous few posts including the implication that I am less than perfect. That's a relief because it would be a reputation up to which I could not live! Roger

Congratulations on your contributions Roger, please may we have many more.
I reached a significant number myself on Youtube today with videos viewed just flipping over the 100,000 mark. Not that I had much to do with that number as my postings amounted to only 27.
However, my paltry 100,000 pales into insignificance when I see that number 3 in the charts is Paul Potts with Nessun Dorma with 27,732,332 views.
If only I could find another 27 million US viewers to watch Hayley's "The Water Is Wide" they would surely be hooked.

Hi everyone First of all, many congratulations Roger on reaching 6000 posts. At my current rate, I'll reach the same level in around 5 years time i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif But then, from my experience as a mod on the Connie Talbot forum, I know that quite a number of very necessary posts are used up on the Admin board I must say that I laughed out loud after reading this thread from the start. The original topic was " Should we get rid of the number of posts" and virtually the whole thread has been devoted to celebrating Roger's tremendous achievement i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Does that mean that most of us have been off topic ? Best wishes Mark

Thanks very much everyone. When Steve suggested that we should lose the number of posts, perhaps he just meant mine! I don't know if this is generally known or not but yes, we do have an Admin board which is only visible to Staff Members. In view of Mark's comment, I would explain that the postcounter is (and always has been) disabled on that board. Consequently, the number of posts made by me, Dave, Richard and the rest of the team are a true reflection of the posts made to the visible part of the forum only and not the Admin board. Roger

Off topic? More like a hijacking! Anyway, congratulations Roger! I would rave more, but I have never been one to use overly sesquipedalian verbiage.... Thanks for all you do! Jon
