The loveliest, sweetest flower that bloomed in paradise, and the first that died, has rarely blossomed since on mortal soil. It is so frail, so delicate, a thing, it is gone if it but look upon itself; and she who ventures to esteem it hers proves by that single thought she has it not. Humility - Fry
First of all, many congratulations Roger on reaching 6000 posts. At my current rate, I'll reach the same level in around 5 years time i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif But then, from my experience as a mod on the Connie Talbot forum, I know that quite a number of very necessary posts are used up on the Admin board
I must say that I laughed out loud after reading this thread from the start. The original topic was " Should we get rid of the number of posts" and virtually the whole thread has been devoted to celebrating Roger's tremendous achievement i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Does that mean that most of us have been off topic ?
Thanks very much everyone. When Steve suggested that we should lose the number of posts, perhaps he just meant mine!
I don't know if this is generally known or not but yes, we do have an Admin board which is only visible to Staff Members. In view of Mark's comment, I would explain that the postcounter is (and always has been) disabled on that board. Consequently, the number of posts made by me, Dave, Richard and the rest of the team are a true reflection of the posts made to the visible part of the forum only and not the Admin board.
Anyway, congratulations Roger! I would rave more, but I have never been one to use overly sesquipedalian verbiage....
Thanks for all you do!
Nothing in life is perfect - and I thank God for that. When we say that something is perfect we are also saying that there can be no growth because any change must be for the worse. In the end, it is our errors which declare and affirm our humanity.
