Hi All,
I thought I would post my itinerary for the River of Dreams tour. I will be driving from Liverpool to Northampton to LLandudno to Birmingham then to Manchester. I will be alone and if anyone needs a ride to or from any of these venues I would be glad to take as many as the little car will hold. I'm not sure what kind of car I'll have but I''ll know next week. P M me if you need a lift.

VIDEO COVERAGE EMBARGO
During the course of the RoD Tour, some members are likely to obtain video coverage. In fairness to Hayley, Dave and I have agreed that we must impose an embargo on all video footage of Hayley's performance until after the tour is concluded. From then on, any videos will be more than welcome.
I would also request that members refrain from posting videos to YouTube or any other site for the duration of the tour.
I would also remind members of two further guidelines:
1. Although we do not expect videos to be of a professional standard, the technical quality must be sufficient to do justice to Hayley's performance in accordance with Steve Abbott's on-going guidelines.
2. Any coverage of signing sessions in which members of the public can be seen prominently must not be shown unless we know those people and have their consent.
Thanks, Roger

Thanks for the clarification Roger. I will of course abide by them, as I suspect it is my videos from Stoke (not strictly ROD, but the same content ) that have prompted this. I had not realised that there were guidelines from Steve Abbott, can you point me to them please?

It was interesting to hear Hayley sing "I never saw blue like that" at a recent ROD concert. Nothing to do with a particular sweatshirt that Grant and I were wearing that night? Martin

This is for information purposes only.
Every existing thread for the River of Dreams concerts which are cancelled (currently Llandudno, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff and Bournemouth) will eventually be locked. New threads will then be started for the revised dates. Exactly when that is done is yet to be decided.
Thank you, Roger

Hello everyone Hats off to everyone involved in the re-scheduling. At Venue Cymru they had a revised date announced within hours. With literally minutes notice last night, Bridgewater Hall staff were able to tell ticket holders that the concert would be re-scheduled. They had a mountain of a job last night as it would have been possible to notify only a handful of people. They must have had more than a dozen people handling enquiries from Front of House staff, Managers and Security (the chap we had seen at stage door appeared inside in a suit once Hayley had left) and the venue were offering complimentary tea and coffee to those who wanted it. The other venues had a little more time. I got home to find messages from Ticketmaster and St. David's Hall advising of the cancellation. Incidentally St. David's advised that they would be writing to ticket holders as are Venue Cymru. Finally, the very nice ladlady at my B&B in Cardiff has cancelled my booking without charge, so she will now get my booking for the revised date. Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant. Interesting you have had a response from Ticketmaster, by email? I am not so happy with Ticketmaster. I believe I have said that before in connection with a Haley do. Yesterday I found it a rigamorole to make contact despite following the instructions from their website. The final answering telephone was picked up and the receiver immediately replaced thus giving me a permanent engaged tone THREE times. Then the automatic email form failed to send twice, or at least I recieved a computer-speak line telling me so. I wonder if that was an apple failing? I happened to be on my new Apple laptop, the hang of which I am still learning. So I used 'ordinary' email using the address that gave me the original details of Hayley in Cardiff. This morning I learn that email, telling me of Hayley in Cardiff came from Ireland which today says it doesn't handle matters in the UK and instead of forwarding my email on gave me the phone number to ring of which I had already told them was putting the phone down on me! Of course I was not then aware of the Hayley position and perhaps they were ringing people for Bridgewater at the time. I could not remember if I had arranged for them to be sent or left at the box office for collection. The theatre had acknowledged it had it in my name but through Ticketmaster and therefore no details. If left for collection they would not know until the night when the right box would have been available for them to rifle through. St David's staff were certainly friendly and very helpful in so far as they were able. Peter S PS: Having been re-confirmed by Ireland I rang London again and received an entirely different response. In fact the sort of response i would expect. Having given the reference number, everything was in front of the girl who answered completely up-to-date with information. One thing that worries me with Ticketmaster is that they do not send out until 5 days before the event which people need to remember if they are touring or not at home almost to the last moment. SO WARNING. I complimented the girl on her manner and asked her to pass on a formal complaint regarding my experience yesterday after-noon. If one registers with Ticketmaster to have an account there are certain advantages in terms of advance notice and knowledge of events from diverse quarters but with Hayley we could not have been served better than we have been through this site. With that delay in mailing I can't remember now if they give you the option of collecting at the box office. I think go for that or deal with the box office direct, the problem with collection meaning a crowd and queuing unless you are there early and it might interfere with any pre-show meeting arrangements. Somehwhat mollified and happier. Perhaps someone has just been fired when ! rang yesterday Just heard from the bike shop who tell me my bike is rideable again. It was a bad buy, there are lighter models I have since disovered but perhaps I'll rethink the Oxford event and use the park and ride shuttle taking the bike with me. Oxford is a bike city.

Hello everyone I was deeply saddened by the latest news that Hayley is still unwell and unable to continue with the tour. I have felt very unsettled ever since last Monday night in Manchester and rather than look forward to the three remaining concerts I was scheduled to attend this week, I have worried, wondering, hoping, that Hayley would be well enough to continue with the tour, which is certainly not how it should be! Now I've had time to digest the news that she isn't well enough to continue, I'm feeling that it will be for the best in the long run. It will not only give Hayley a decent amount of time to recover and to recharge her batteries at home with family and friends but, with a significant part of the tour postponed until February/March, she will still have her "River of Dreams" tour to look forward to and enjoy, rather than 'just a few postponed dates'. Best wishes Grant Get well soon Hayley. As always our thoughts and prayers are with you. Don't worry about us, we'll always be here to support you and love you and we're looking forward, very much, to having back, the happy smiling Hayley that we are used to, and who means so much to us.
Lots of love Grant

Hi All,
Just got home from a few days in the Lake District to read this news. Sue's comment that perhaps the wisest thing for her to do is cancel everything she has left this year, and fly straight back to NZ for a couple of months break to get some proper rest and make a full recovery. It would do her the world of good I'm sure. At least out there she would be somewhere warm, and away from the cold and damp of the English winter, which can't be helping her recovery. But Hayley, whatever you decide to do, you can be sure of our support and prayers.
Love
Martin

I am sure that Hayley finds the International messages of love and support as heart warming as I do and Paulo's comment that "we miss your beautiful smile" is sincerely felt by all.
During difficult times family and friends are vital and I only hope that the small contribution that we are able to make via HWI helps in some little way.
