I am visiting a friend in Lincoln at the moment and have picked up the sad news about Hayley.I know she most be feeling really down at the this time and hope and pray things will improve for her very soon.
I had booked for this concert with Roger but have managed to cancel our hotel arrangements.

My response to all this news is WELL DONE to all of those involved in supporting her. A decision has been made. The consequence followed through.
Let's hope that all intervening measures are equaly good.
WELL DONE ALL HAYLEY'S PEOPLE. You've made the right decision and backed it with the right response and made an immediate announcement.
VERY WELL DONE. This should take the sting out of any possible backlash and disappointment. It is a very positive achievement.
HAYLEY this should help you mend as quickly as everyone hopes. You've got as good a team behind you as you deserve... and as you have frequently said of them.
GOD BLESS, Hayley. Very well done to her management team.
Peter S.

Thank you, Peter. I would like to add my thanks to the promotors and the venue staff for getting the information out remarkably quickly.

Very well spotted, Richard. That's the danger of picking up information from other sites, especially when it is so new. It is all too easy to make a mistake but we would not usually have any reason to go back and check it. Again, well done that man!

Sorry to hear that. We wish Hayley to get well soon. By the way, we are traveling to Bournemouth as we can't cancel the hotel.

Yes I visited the box office yesterday and they will be sending a letter to everyone about the revised date. Basically you just keep the same ticket as it's still valid for the new date. It's just that next March seems such a long way off. If like me you can't bear to be Hayleyless for that long, there are still seats left at the Barbican, a few in the stalls quite close to the front and a lot more further back on the side, if you have good eyesight. (I don't ! Hence I don't drive !)

It was a sunny day when I got up this morning. Just right for a walk along the beach. The pier is free and the Oceanarium is worth a look if it is open. Shame there's no show (my letter arrived this morning) but it can't be helped.

Thank you very much, Jeff and Drew. The truth is that we have enjoyed very much our short holidays in Bournemouth. We have collected our tickets for the concert (yes, we are coming in march!), walked a lot, shopped a little, and had a very good time (and fair weather too).

Hi Jordi
I'm glad you managed to make the most of an unfortunate situation, and pleased that you're coming back in March. Hopefully we can all meet up then.
Kind regards
Colin

Further discussion in this thread should be limited to the original (postponed) event. A new thread for the revised date (4 March) appears here. Roger
