This news has been relayed by Grant in Manchester.
Andy Moore, Hayley's guitarist, has informed Grant that all concerts this week (Manchester, Cardiff and Bournemouth) are all cancelled.

Hi Roger,
What was Andy doing there then?
You shouldn't joke about such things, it isn't funny.
Oh No! You are serious!!! This is a disaster!!
I thought it couldn't be Hayley's health, since I don't believe Hayley would deliberately risk infecting anyone else, not even another singer like Elaine Paige, whom she got pretty close to last night Mind you, Hayley did have her face turned away during that photo.

Well, David, it is now the case that I am not going to see her there, either! Sounds as though my earlier observation MAY be right, or perhaps she should have done this at the outset? Total 'write-off' to kill it. These are very difficult decisions to make and in the end only the artiste can know how they feel and whether or not they can 'kill it' at outset or need to take immediate extreme measures for the longer term. On the positive side we whould look at what she has done in the time between her first realising she had a problem and then later realising it was getting the best of her. Basra, Launching the Poppy Appeal and the Festival of Remembrance. Accepting the Variety Club Award. I am sure when the week is over and she reviews things she will realise the 'right' things were lost, or the most influential and important things were counted in, concluding she made all the right decisions. But if Decca are niggling her about her style of presentation and that has got her down I won't half be hopping mad! It has happened to other major artistes. I think Katherine Jenkins had a major set back in the middle of a long tour only a couple of years ago. I rather think that Hayley has probably battled on when many ordinary office workers would have stayed at home. As long as her voice doesn't show the effect, she would plough on and probably has. I made my arrangements for Cardiff in rather of a rush and find I took the risk on the hotel for cancellation and the train was pre-booked anyway, so I might pop down to Cardiff anyway for a day out and indulge myself over dinner. I will hold further back for the 09 Spring tour and think through more carefully about either later commitment or cheaper accommodation which I can more easily write off if necessary. By the way, although it is not something we would wish to do, communication on this web site is superb in advance knowing what is happening. I normally never leave for a Hayley do without checking the latest posts here, although that is usually for more happy reasons, such as 'where are we meeting to eat?' Peter S.

Hi Peter and all,
So sorry to hear that this concert has been cancelled, I know that you and everyone planning to go would've been really looking forward to it. As you say Peter these are extremely difficult decisions to have to make and would never be taken lightly by anyone. At the end of the day Hayley's health and wellbeing is absolutely the most important thing and we all understand that.
Hayley if you read this we are all with you and support you, take good care of yourself and I hope you are well again soon.
Best wishes
David xx

Hi folks, In wishing Hayley "GET WELL SOON" Hayley, I hope you have a little something from your beloved homeland , namely Manuka Honey with a UMF value of 15 or higher. This honey is EXTREMELY beneficial during illness and maybe some of the HWI members would bring a pot to the next concert they go to .. For Hayley of course, not yourself, and a gold spoon if you happen to have one handy.
Best wishes and lots of sympathy from our Irish members

Hi everyone
Just to confirm that the system is working, I have just had a telephone call from St Davids Hall confirming that the concert is postponed - so well done to the theatre staff.
Of course I am disappointed not to be going - but my main concern is for Hayley..
Hayley, as Roger said on the Manchester thread, all your fans understand and we just want you to be well again - we will definately still be here to support you whenever you are able to return to performing. Please get well soon Hayley.

For all the good people of South Wales (and Grant, Mark, Peter and Roger), something to cheer you for a few minutes whilst thinking about what might have been another special evening on the River Taff. Ave Maria (Caccini)Hayley in the beautiful coral dress. (Sorry kids you can't buy this one in Primark.) Get well Hayley.
