I love the photos everyone! The concert sounds like it was great from the reviews too!
We've seen that necklace before- wasn't it worn in 7th June 2007 in Albergansy (spelling?) Gardens?

My money is still on the Barcarolle. Can anyone confirm or deny, please? Roger Up in the balcony Dave heard "Barcarolle" and I heard "The Flower Duet" like James. However, in my sitting room, in High Definition and Wide Screen, I have just heard Barcarolle. My apologies Dave. Over to you James.

Hello folks! I often confuse those two numbers too, but I'm sure we heard the Barcarolle last night. One thing I noticed was the mutual respect and admiration between Hayley and Dame Malvina. The Dame was clearly impressed to see so many Hayley fans there, and she told us she was pleased we came. I replied that we were pleased we came too! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

My apologies Roger , I was obviously so overawed by the performance and listening so intently that I failed to register what was actually being sung! I'm glad someone was on the ball. The second duet was definitely Hine e Hine, and I'll never forget that performance. It was interesting to hear the slightly different pronounciation and phrasing of Dame Malvina compared to Hayley. Anyone who has been inspired by seeing Dame Malvina can check out her website for a list of some of her CDs www.damemalvinamajor.co.nz/shop/

Hi Roger, Mark, Dave and James and thanks for the reports so far. Thanks also Steve for your first photo's. Stunning as ever.
I'll add my own views in more detail after dinner and hopefully put up a few pics.
I think we all knew that last night was going to be special, which is the reason it drew so many of us to attend despite our admitted usual dis-interest in choir and opera.
Like Shepherds Bush, I feel this will be another one when we will be very proud to say "Yes, and I was there!!"
Back later Grant

Well done Drew - one of your best and definitely one for keeping. Hayley spotted you several times but I am sure she would approve if she looks at it.
