What I'm more interested in is, would Hayley herself know the answers to all of these tricky questions?

Great answers so far. There's also lamb (Mary Did You Know) and turkey (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire), and some delicious lemon drops (Over the Rainbow)!
Now for the newest question of the day:
Can you name all the months that are mentioned in Hayley's songs?

That was a tough question, for sure, but the answer is: May, June and September.
Let's see if anyone's up for yet another question of the day...
Since Pure has "Pokarekara Ana", and Odyssey has "O Mio Babbino Caro", and Treasure has "The Heart Worships", and Hayley Sings Japanese Songs has "Hanamizuki", what are the chances her next release will include a song title with the same initial as the album title?

Heh, no takers on that one either. The answer is: It is highly likely, a near certainty.
Maybe you'll like this question of the day:
In which Hayley songs does the word "never" appear?

Hi Steve, [Edit - you posted again while i was composing - give a chap a chance! ] Last question but one: fairly high, I'd say! Now if I may, here is another Question of the Day from me - one that the statisticians among you might appreciate. During which song has Hayley sung her longest recorded single note (without taking a breath)?Optional bonus questions: How many seconds does it last, what is the word she sings and where is it located in the song? Well three four questions i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDave

Hello Steve and Dave! I'll have a go at your questions! OK Steve. You asked "In which Hayley songs does the word "never" appear?" The Mists of Islay You'll Never Walk Alone Across the Universe of Time Never Say Goodbye Never Saw Blue What You Never Know My Heart Belongs to You Summer Fly One Fine Day Sonny I think that's the lot. Right, next over to Dave! I believe Hayley's longest recorded note was on 'The Peace Song', found on the CD 'My Gift To You'. The sustained note lasts 7 seconds, the word is "free" and is located towards the end of the song at 1'47". Whew! Good night all! Joe

Hi Joe/Dave I think I can beat that - 10 seconds for the last note at the end of "Time to Say Goodbye" with Andrea Bocelli (reference UTube clip). Martin

Hi Dave,
The last note of Danny Boy is 13 seconds long. I doubt she has ever beaten that!
Oh, I forgot the word. It is "so"

... The Mists of Islay You'll Never Walk Alone Across the Universe of Time Never Say Goodbye Never Saw Blue What You Never Know My Heart Belongs to You Summer Fly One Fine Day Sonny I think that's the lot. ... You did great, Joe, but I would add "Unexpected Song" to make the list complete. And technically, she sings the word "nevermore" in Mists of Islay -- but that still qualifies in my book. Now for the newest question of the day:Hayley sings about summer more than any other season, but which season does she sing about the least?

Hi Dave, The last note of Danny Boy is 13 seconds long. I doubt she has ever beaten that! Oh, I forgot the word. It is "so" Martin Hi Joe and Martins Martin, you are correct if we limit it to a single word and single note so well done that man - but the word is "me" and not "so" - and you lose a bonus point! However... if we allow up to two words and two notes (without taking a breath in between), Danny Boy is beaten by a whisker as far as I can tell - by 0.037 seconds (yep, 37/1000ths of a second!) by the final two words in " I Am A Thousand Winds" from "Hayley sings Japanese songs". The words are "that blow" and it is two notes, with no breath taken in between. The timings are (being as generous as possible in both cases, best stereo channel, and using the waveforms too): Danny Boy - final "me" 13.05 seconds Thousand Winds - final "blow" 12.05 seconds Thousand Winds - "that blow" 13.087 seconds and it is quite hard in both cases to pinpoint where Hayley stops, to that degree of precision. But I do not think any other Hayley songs get anywhere near "Danny Boy" and "Thousand Winds". Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave,
Yes I did think the last note of I am a Thousand Winds was quite long, but I didn't time it. Drat! Of course you are right about the final word of Danny Boy too. I should have played it. rather than trying to do it from memory.
Best wishes
Martin

During which song has Hayley sung her longest recorded single note (without taking a breath)? For me it's not how long she holds a note, but how long the note lingers in my head. To that extent, the final word "light" that Hayley sings at the end of "Dark Waltz" stays with me for years, perhaps forever. To answer my last q.o.t.d., the season which Hayley gives the least attention to in her songs is Autumn. On to the next question of the day...Which female names besides Mary/Maria show up in Hayley's lyrics?
