Just watched Hayley's two performances on SoP. I hadn't heard her sing Whispering Hope live before but it was excellent, as was Amazing Grace. Hi All, Hayley's singing, with the backing accompaniment of the Male Voice Choir at Truro Cathedral was simply outstanding!!! As soon as I saw 'Whispering Hope' being performed I felt so uplifted... This was also the first time I have seen Hayley performing this beautiful piece live.  Simply wonderful!Andrew |

I agree with every word Andrew! Here it is (quality is good, I'll post the song on its own at slightly higher quality later, with any others I find). Wow! That is fabulous. Thanks Dave. As you know, I couldn't watch the broadcast, I had another commitment. Thanks for recording it and getting on here so promptly.
That's what we have got used to with Hayley. You see her perform, and come away thinking it can't possibly get any better than that. Then you see her again and it does! She had been doing that for five years now. I just can't imagine where that will end!

Thanks for sharing these songs. I always love hearing her sing Amazing Grace, especially lately. And it was nice to hear her sing Whispering Hope somewhere other than her album.
But I've noticed that microphones and recording systems seem unable to project Hayley's "new" voice very clearly. Her voice sounds gorgeous these days, but I'm going to be disappointed if her CD recordings don't do her justice.

Hello again everyone, I finally managed to get the Amazing Grace video completed, it's larger framed and higher quality than the Whispering Hope video, although I intend to post just the song Whispering Hope (without the intro) at the same higher quality, later today (later because it's now 3 am!) Amazing Grace 952x536 - 1.2mbps XVID - 192 kbps mp3 - 25MB Oh, the title caption that goes right across Hayley at the start is Song of Praise's  not mine!  OK, I couldn't resist so i did it anyway... here's the bigger version of Whispering Hope (just the song): Whisspering Hope 952x536 (just the song) - 1.2mbps XVID - 192 kbps mp3 - 22MB Neither is perfect, I need a digital TV-video link to do that. Thanks for your efforts, Dave, but is there any chance of a lower quality version of 'Amazing Grace' please? The high quality videos only show three quarters of the width then a solid block of pink vertical lines on the right hand side of the picture. I suspect the bitrate is too high for the computers in the Internet Café. Edit: I've tried both videos again this afternoon, and I can see the whole picture if I reduce the video size to 50%. That's good enough for me. Richard |

I managed to fit in "Whispering Hope" at the end of "Different Voices" on Classic FM followed by the Grand Prix straight after which luckily was delayed by rain. A busy Sunday ! |
