Hi Grant,
We do know that Hayley has had albums released officially in Taiwan before so of course, it could have happened on this occasion but I've no idea whether or not the one you mentioned is genuine.
I would just be suspicious about anything emanating from either of the Chinas, where music, video and games piracy is rife, but mainland China is the worst "cuprit" of the two.
Cheers, Dave

I want to purchase Hayley's Japanese album, but I'm not sure which place is best to buy it from. I noticed a few copies on ebay, but I'm not sure if they are genuine.
I came across CDJapan. Has anyone else used this website to purchase this album, or any other of Hayley's CDs?
If so, were you satisfied with their service?

Hi IHF
Yes. I bought my copy from cdjapan, and also my copy of prayer. Thet are excellent and give a pretty good turnround, even though the postage costs as much as the CD.

yep cd japan are good to deal with and pack the items well. the deluxe edition is worth the few quid extra for the high quality printed inserts. The 30 track 2 cd on ebay is a bit dodgy , bad printing, origins are a bit suspect and so are the sellers, it has also doubled in price since they first started selling it a $7 but I got one anyway because I am just plain daft

Hi Irish-Hayley-Fan,
You can buy the album from CDJapan with total confidence, I already placed three orders, and all went well, the packages arrived safe and well protected.
As a matter of fact, the first purchase that I ever made online was with CDJapan, I was afraid about it, but after read very good feedback about their service, here in the forum, and how I wanted the album, I decide to take the risk.
Best wishes, Paulo Correia

Yes, and you will probably get the album from them more quickly that from Amazon UK. It is now six days since they said they had dispatched my copy of ROD, and I still haven't got it!

Thanks to Martin, Comet and pjcorreia for your comments I couldn't wait, so I ordered the deluxe edition straightaway! Should be with me in a few days.

I received my copy the other day. Great service from CD Japan! Is it just the case with this CD, or are all Japanese albums thicker than ours? Because mine won't fit into my CD tower. I don't mind though, I have the album now! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi, I think it was just the deluxe edition that was thicker. Graham

I'm really sorry, but there are 33 pages, and I just want to know one thing, really.
Who were the original artists for all of the tracks? I listen to a lot of J-Pop, actually. I'll be ecstatic if she has done any Utada of Ayumi Hamasaki. Hayley should do 'Forbidden Colours'. The vocal version of 'Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence'. <3

Hi Nicola
I'm not sure she has done any of those, but I do know that she plans a follow-up. So she might be interested in any suggestions you have.

It might be too late for that, Martin because I believe she has already recorded it! Sorry Nicola but we probably don't know who the original artists might be unless they were recorded by the songwriters and most of their names appear in Japanese characters on the insert. Roger

I will order this album as soon as I get the money (I just spent it all on Hayley tickets!). In which case, I guess I'll know when I give the album a listen if I recognise any of the melodies. I'll let you guys know when I do. I'm surprised that the info hasn't been announced somewhere, somehow, though. Isn't there a japanese fan on the forum somewhere? I know some crossover Japanese fans in other forums - I may ask them and bring back my findings. My favourite asian performer is Faye Wong, but she is Chinese, so Hayley won't be covering her.

Hey,
Someone from a Sarah Brightman message board answered - they're from Japan and didn't know about Hayley or this CD. He didn't really answer my question, but it doesn't matter. He said this about it:

Hi Nicola,
I wonder what Minako would have thought of Hayley. I like to think she would have loved her, and be pleased that Hayley recorded that duet with her ghost.
