Thank you for the photos Stephany!
I assume someone will tape it. I may be, it depends on whether or not my sister & I agree on what to tape over.

Thank you for passing that on Roger. So Kathryn and Hayley are thousands of miles away and preparing for what could be one of Hayley's most important appearances in the States for a long time and still Kathryn finds time to send you an Email to give details. Not only that, but a good proportion of it refers to their meeting with Tim and his brother!! That speaks volumes to me and shows just how valued the members here are by Hayley and her team. Thanks also Roger for passing on good wishes from us all here on the forum. I am sure I speak for all members when I say how proud and privileged it makes me feel to know that we are thought of in such a special way. Best wishes Grant Hi everyone Grant, you always manage to put into words so well exactly what I am thinking - I couldn't have said it better myself. Like you and all of us, it makes me proud to be part of HWI. Thanks Tim for flying the HWI flag so well and for welcoming Hayley to your country - personally. Best regards Mark

Hayley had a nice introduction at the start of the program... "One of the world's most exciting and talented singing sensations...Hayley Westenra" Hayley's performance is coming soon! It's a great concert so far...right now the orchestra is playing John Williams' "Olympic Overture" Joe

Hi All, HEY IS HAYLEY AN AMERICAN CITIZEN!!!!! ? I got chills at the opening when they announced the acts and mentioned Hayley and her name appeared across the television screen. Hayley is just beautiful in her red dress. Jimmy Smites introduced Hayley he mentioned how Hayley is the fastest crossover classical artist, he mentioned 'Pure', and when you hear her you are listening to greatness. (Don't qoute me but this is in so many words). She did one song 'Shenandoah', beautifully done and when she finished she wished America a Happy Birthday. Coming all the way to America to do one song, THANK YOU HAYLEY!!! I am so happy for Hayley that she got the opportunity to do this. As of today this must be the largest audience she has ever performed for. Hundreds of Thousands in the audience and millions across the country watching her perform. And yes Joe I saw the sign also, how cool is that! I WISH HAYLEY THE GREATEST SUCCESS!!!! And so before I came on line here, I sent an email to my local PBS station to let them know how much I enjoyed their broadcast and thanked them for it. I also asked them that I would like to see more of Hayley Westenra on PBS. I encourage all American members to write their local PBS station and do the same. This is a great opportunity now to do something like this, if her fans, and I have to say her great fans because you are a member of HWI don't do it noone else will. Let's give our support to Hayley. I hope that when Hayley gets back home she writes a letter and tell us of her thoughts about this concert. They are going to show this again on PBS, got to see Hayley one more time. I'll tell you I am so proud to be a fan of Hayleys' My Best to All, Howard

Here's what artist1 had to say of this performance... It was great seeing Hayley on tv in Washington doing shenandoah, I wish she could have done more but I love seeing some fans holding a sign saying Hi Hayley, I hope it was some of our forum fans. I wish I could have given Hayley her portrait there but I know how busy she is, anyway we love you Hayley and we hope you come back for a U.S. tour.

This is the introduction from Jimmy Smits: Once a generation, a young artist arrives on the scene, and from the moment she steps on stage or in the recording studio, you realize that you're in the presence of greatness.
Our next performer has made that kind of impact in the world of music. Her first album, "Pure", was an international sensation and has made her the fastest-selling debut classical artist in history. Since that time, she has sold over 4 million albums. She was ranked number 7 on Billboard's Top Classical Crossover Artist for 2007. All before that age of twenty.
Please welcome Hayley Westenra!

It was good to see Hayley certainly - and she did look lovely in that dress!
Objectively it was not one of the best performances I have heard from her. She sang fairly well - and as one song in a concert it would have been fine. Unfortunately, there was nothing to that offering that would grab a non-fan insofar as I could hear. As one example, for whatever reason, she didnt do that high vocalise in the middle of the piece - and she could have really used it......
