Hey again, first I'm just gonna start off with the fact that all this stuff was designed 'by hand' via Adobe Photoshop & a few other programs, please dont distribute them to other sites without my permission.
As Hayleys birthday was approching, I had designed some small PC additions for Hayley &/or Fans. I had posted them up at Lindsays board, but I think I'll post them up here also.
First things first is a bootscreen designed for Windows 2000 & up. (Hasnt been testing for any Windows version below.)
Here is a small preview of the bootscreen. (I have installed the bootscreen & use it personally, so it should work if you fallow the directions I provided below.)
Directions for Installing! (PAY CLOSE ATTENTION)
Discription:
This is a simple replacement screen for the black screen that says WindowsXp when you first start up your computer. By fallowing the steps, you can install it without a problem. (Requires atleast WindowsME to assure no weird side effects occur)
Step #1:
First things first, you want to download 'BootSkin', which can be downloaded for free at: www.download.com/3001-2105_4-10285566.html (This program is a simple & safe program that lets you change your bootscreen without any dangerious hacking involved.)
Step #2: Download the actual bootscreen file I personally designed & contructed from scratch in Adobe Photoshop 8.0 at: www.sitesled.com/members/hayleywestenrafan/hayleybootscreen.bootskin
Step #3: Now if 'BootSkin' is successfully installed, you will notice that the bootskin you downloaded in step 2, will have an icon that looks like this . If so, double click on the file to open it.
Step #4: Once you opened the file, a window will appear, title BootSkin, & will look alot like this (Mine might look slightly different.) After this window appears, select the bootskin if its not already selected, & click Apply.
Step #5: Your Done! Thats all you have to do, now the next time you restart your PC, your computer will start up with the new bootskin! Even after Bootskin is uninstalled, the bootskin will still work. Please note, to uninstall the bootscreen & restore it to the default WindowsXp bootscreen, just return to the BootSkin program & select 'Default System Boot Screen'. This will completly remove any changes made by Bootskin, should any problems occur.
Rare Sideeffects
Now obviously I have to admit, nothing with computers can be 100% assured to work perfectly, so far I havent had any problems with this bootscreen, but in the past, using other usermade bootscreens, I have had minor problems that you might have. Good news, Windows itself, is a very strong system, & is almost always able to fix itself if something should go wrong like this. If you happen to use an extremly outdated videocard, or dont have alot of CPU on your computer, there is a slight chance that the bootscreen will refuse to load, & stop Windows from loading. If this should happen, do not panic, just sit back & relaxe. Your PC will automaticly shut itself back down, & turn back on, after it turns back on, Windows will skip the bootscreen, & return your computer to the time BEFORE the bootscreen was changed. This lets you serpass the error, & reset the bootscreen to default.
Obviously its not very serious, expecially because Windows is able to reset bootscreen settings to default, if anything should happen to go wrong. So this is basicly a risk free (Bet you heard that few thousend times!) way to hacklessly edit your bootscreen!
Now that you have your bootscreen, I've been hard at work, designing some nice wallpapers you could use. (All wallpapers are 1024x768.)

Personally, I use Wallpaper 4 for my computer, its my personal favorite.
Anyway, hope you enjoy these little additions I made to show my appreciation for Hayley & her music. Tell me what you think, & feel free to use what you like, but please dont put them on any other fansites without my permission. Thanks
PS: I understand the pain of going in & trying to fix a PC after something has gone wrong, which is why I try to assure anything I distribute is is 100% virus/spyware/adware free & shouldnt provide any unwarned side effects. If this does infact occur though, catch me online via AIM or e-mail me & I'll do what I can to make sure the problem is fixed. I dont take responsability for any accidents that happen due to not fallowing any directions provided, but I will take responsability to problems that occur, if infact my directions were either incorrect, or difficult to understand.
