I finally got around to really checking who Nicola Benedetti really is. At first, I thought she was another crossover act like Bond or Vanessa Mae. (And as much as I love crossover singers, I don't really like crossover instrumentalists). But I was really delighted to find that she is an amazing, classical virtuoso. She is incredibly talented and deserved this great award.

Nicola, you've inspired me to practice my instrument again with your same diligence and dedication. You've motivated me to achieve my best.
