Below are my personal highlights of this concert series - mainly based on the fact that I have heard these performers before, or am involved with them via my websites. The entries in red are my absolute favourites.
July 25 - Prom 11: Cantamus Girl Choir
July 29 - Prom 16: Janine Jansen (violin)
August 4 - Prom 24: Tasmin Little (violin)
August 5 - Prom 26: The King's Singers
August 8 - Prom 29: Chen Yi Olympic Fire world première (Start of Olympic Games)
August 11 - Prom 34: Barbara Frittoli (soprano)
August 17 - Prom 43: Rebecca Evans (soprano)
August 22 - Prom 48: Andrea Kirchschlager (mezzo-soprano)
August 31 - Prom 60: Lang Lang (piano)
August 31 - Prom 61: Joseh Calleja (tenor)
September 9 - Prom 72: Murray Perahia (piano)
September 13 - Prom 76: Last Night: Bryn Terfel (bass-baritone)
As you can see, August 31 seems to be the indicated date for me to attend the Proms. I'd be interested to hear other people's opinions about their favourite Proms!
