Hi everyone
While there's a lull in Hayley's concerts to go to, I thought this might be an interesting diversion.
You are holding a dinner party for four guests of your choice. Who will they be? (I assume one will be Hayley...) I wonder if Hayley fans are of a like mind and will choose similar guests or will be completely different?
My guest list would be - and this shows a complete British bias, I'm afraid:
Hayley (goes without saying)
Audrey Hepburn - the worlds "style" and "elegance" were invented for this lady. Indeed, of all the celebrity figures since, I believe Hayley comes closest to Audrey in terms of talent and style and beauty and sheer human-ness (is that a word?). I'd love to hear them talking to each other about their own experiences whether it be in their own fields or in UNICEF.
Stephen Fry - the Oscar Wilde of our times, the man's a genius. He would certainly keep the laughter flowing.
David Attenborough - a national treasure and a man who's experienced so much "WOW' that I can't imagine other guests wanting to listen to anyone else.
So, who would your guests be?
Regards
Colin

What interesting games you could play. But I assume you mean people we admire, rather than those that might fall out. So it might upset Hayley if for instance, I invited Robert Mugabe, Osama Bin Laden and Goerge W Bush.
But how about
Hayley The other Hayley (Mills) The Queen The Dalai Lama

Hi Colin, I invited Hayley and David Attenborough but unfortunately they both have a prior engagement at your place. I am now looking forward to some interesting discussion about you-know-who with Ian Tilley, Fiona Pears, Fiona Swadling and Al Gurr. Roger

Hello everyone I thought this was going to be a difficult one - who would I want to share Hayley with at a dinner party? Well, that's easy! I would just invite the whole family - Hayley, Jill, Gerald, Sophie and Isaac! Once Hayley got over the shock of having her entire family turn up on my doorstep, we would have a lovely evening getting to know each other a little better. Now to think about a menu. Best wishes Grant

Hold on, hang about, stop the music! Grant, you're cheating! Colin said 4 gusts and you've asked 5. Right, that's it. I'm inviting Steve Abbott too. And with that, it's goodnight from me! Roger

4 gusts and you've asked 5. No Roger! I invited 4 guests! :2fun: Hayley would, of course, be my co-host! Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Best wishes Grant

Well my four guests are a bit different. First of all, Hayley of course. Then.. my favourite football player, Paolo Maldini, a man in and out of the field, probably the best italian football player ever and an example for anyone who plays and loves this sport. Near to him, another sport figure, the young Kimmie Meissner, my favourite modern figure skater. I can't imagine Hayley and Kimmie together, it would be difficoult to be Hayleywoved and.. Kimmiewoved at the same time. And the last one.. maybe Bryan Adams. My favourite male singer. I grow up with his music and it would be an honour to meet him. Hope it would be a funny evening, maybe Hayley and Bryan can do a duet Emil

I'd invite Hayley, Jill, Ray (Hayley's driver) and The Queen round to my flat in Mayfair.

Hello Joe! I'm sure Ray would help you change the tyre. Oh, it's not that sort of flat! Richard

Colin said 4 gusts and you've asked 5. Right, that's it. I'm inviting Steve Abbott too. And with that, it's goodnight from me! Roger 4 gusts ? Aha Roger, so baked beans are on the menu then ?!! Hayley could sing "Listen to the wind !" Jeff - that's my favourite Hayley song!!! How am I going to listen to it now? Kind regards Colin

Try headphones Colin. It cuts out unwanted background noise ! Since you're from Southampton I take it we'll be seeing you 6 miles up the road at Romsey in July ?

Hi Jeff Yes, I'm definitely there in the Gold Circle! I can't believe my luck these last few months - the Turner Sims concert in December was a 10-minute drive away and Broadlands is just 15-minutes away. I'll have to let Hayley know about my local pub i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif. Regards Colin
