I'm just a few posts shy of 1000. So what happens when I reach that magical number? Is there a secret initiation awaiting me, the existence of which I, too, will need to keep secret? If so, I'm telling everyone beforehand that I won't have the power to discuss whatever does or doesn't happen within the 1000 Club. I may deny everything, as per the secret rules, if any. This is kinda scary!

I have just managed to get to my 1000th post before I am away for my Open Golf holiday.  I will unfortunately miss, Orwell Park ,  Dunstable…Grove Theatre and , Macclesfield Gawsworth Hall. I had thought of trying to rush from the Golf at Birkdale to Gawsworth but decided it would not work.  Just imagine all the posts I will have to catch up on when I return on the 21st July ! I will still be reading them when you are at Kilworth.  Still I console myself with the thought that the following weekend I should hopefully be at Broadlands and Cannizaro Park Festival.
