I graduated to the 85% dark tonight! Had only intended to 'taste' it but actually ate half the bar! Hi Grant, I went to ASDA on Sunday but I didn't find the 85% variety. I bought 'milk' and 'butterscotch' bars instead. Two bars instead of one because I had to celebrate a certain victory somehow The milk is now my favourite and I still have to taste the butterscotch. Love, Stephany

Hi Stephany Hope you like the butterscotch. That one is milk chocolate with tiny bits of butterscotch - very subtle and one of my favourites. ASDA have put the price back up to £1.48 so I only bought myself another bar of the 85% Love Grant ("Hayleywowed and hooked!!")

Hi Chocoholics I have just tried the Lindt 85% cocoa chocolate bar (only because Tesco had a special offer on of two 100g bars for £2) and there is no comparison whatsoever with good old G & B. Still, you have to try these things don't you? Now where's the other bar? Martin

Hello Stephany! I'm glad you're feeling better. It wasn't the butter that did the trick, it was the scotch! Love, Richard

Hiya all, I found an interesting quote from a mezzo-soprano who probably got the tip from Hayley. Just in case you're wondering, it's Katherine Jenkins who said that Stephany

Those of you going to Croydon on Saturday may be interested to know Sainsbury's have an offer on Green & Black's chocolate this week. Buy 2 bars for £2.50 ! So you can give one to Hayley and scoff the other on the way home. Remember what she says in her book though: if she gets too much she'll give it away. Then your bar of G & B's may end up inside a taxi-driver!!

ASDA have it at £1.18 per bar Irrespective of how many bars Hayley gets, she always shares it with whoever's in the van (don't know how Ray feels about his beautiful Chrysler Grand Voyager being called a van Hayley!) on the drive home. Not far from Croydon home on this occasion though!. Best wishes Grant

Haha how much chocolate did she get at the last two concerts by the remark on her newsletter quite a bit Belinda Hi Belinda Don't forget that Croydon wasn't that long ago and TimJ bought a big bag of 'candy' for Hayley as well as the obligatory bar of Green & Blacks from me. I have a feeling Gordon may have contributed as well. Not sure about Southampton (apart from my false start!) but I think Mark said his gift was chocolate also! Oh well! No doubt Hayley and Jill needed to keep their energy levels up whilst preparing for the trip home! Best wishes Grant

Hi Belinda & Grant You are right Grant, I found a box of G&B miniature bars to give her, which included a few new (to me at least) flavours, like ginger - as well as the usual suspects. I hope she enjoyed them Mark

Hiya all, I found an interesting quote from a mezzo-soprano who probably got the tip from Hayley. Just in case you're wondering, it's Katherine Jenkins who said that Stephany How very interesting Stephany. I'm so glad I decided to update my reading on this thread before charging in. A point for anyone else to bear in mind if as keen to post on something as I was when I just came charging in after shopping in Waitrose this after-noon. Check in case someone may have pipped you on your 'exclusive'. Well, I was shopping and especially after Hayley (in that meet outside the girls' toilets on an M4 rest area) told me that I really should try it I have had it in mind but never got round to it, primarily because when ever I look at that shelf in Waitrose there is such a range I wanted to make sure I got the right one!. This after-noon there seemed to be a new one and judging by the posts so far the 85% is a new addition to the range. I bought it and tried it immediately on arriving back home as I was distributing my next week's food in the fridge and the freezer. My first reaction is that it is too strong to break off a little--you have to break off two whole long rows of several segments! Katherine says it is too rich for her to eat too much--we have previously debated about how much we might collectively give Hayley at any event and therefore encourage her to eat too much and spoil her figure, or cause her to do extra workouts to compensate but as she shares it with those around her, such as in the car driving back up the motorway, needing to stop off at motorway service stations to wash their sticky fingers... she won't need to give away too much and she won't eat too much at one go either! I don't known that I want to try the 70% now but perhaps a bar each of all the other 'tainted' versions--are there any with scotch or rum in them yet? We need to gain Hayley's opinion as to what she wants--I wonder if she has tried the 85%? Peter S.

Hello Peter! There's a butterscotch variety, but I don't think they do it without the butter yet! Richard
