Hi everyone! I thought I would share with you a little bit of my art. It's in a different form than Oksy's but I still believe it to be art nonetheless. Sorry the pictures aren't very clear. I'll try to get clearer ones soon. <3 Caite

Hi Caite! Oh, it's art all right -- and beautiful art at that! I don't wear jewellery much, but if I did, I'd love one of those. The colours in the stone/shell are gorgeous, and the silver complements them well. You deninitely have talent.. I'd love to see more sometime. And just in reply to the comments about my stained-glass-clipart: Roger: Thank you.. and of course I will remember you guys. Apart from my family, HWI-ers are generally the first to leave me a kind comment on my work.. I really keeps me going. I'll never forget your support! Marianne and Peter: Thanks guys.. I'm glad you liked it. Oksy

Speaking of NZ paua shells, this is what i sent to Hayley, but when i asked her about at the CD signing, she said her house was in renevation, so she wasn't sure where her parents may have placed it!!! I thought that was rather funny. My mother is a designer and designed and crocheted it especially for her. It is made of Irish Crochet Lace, which is how the Irish people were able to make money and come to New Zealand with. It has quite a history, and, giving that Hayley's new album is about her Irish heritage, i found it quite appropriate to give as a gift!! I named it Ocean Treasures. Dori Edit by Joe...resized photo.

P.S. maybe someone would like to re-size that...i have this problem every time!!!! Dori Hello Dori ! I did resize your photo slightly. It's a great quality photo so there is not detail lost in the smaller pic. That is a gorgeous piece of jewelry! Your mother is very talented to create this work. I'm sure that Hayley will adore your gift. She may wear it at one of her upcoming concerts! Thank you for sharing! Joe

Marianne and Oksy - Yes it's made from a Paua shell. I actually made a necklace and a pair of earrings for Hayley and gave them to her in NYC. I forgot to take a picture of them though!
Dori - your gift for Hayley is beautiful! It literally made my jaw drop! Wow.

I like drawing and being creative, but when I can. Anyway, some of you may know this one. A drawing I did of Hayley on her "Treasure" Albumn. Its a bit different than it looks, hair was hardest for me and it screwed up a bit, but it looks OK. I scanned this one in and it does not look as strong coloured as this. I like drawing plants, (sometimes people, but I am not that good at it) and whatever else I can. I used to love drawing cartoon trees with eyes and big mouthes etc... Don't know why at all. Love Hayley to see this, but that would be something.
