Did anyone see "My Favourite Hymns" on ITV this morning? Presenter John Stapleton was interviewing two members of the opera band Amici Forever. They spoke of their lives and careers and selected their favourite hymns which were then shown. "Silent Night" was nominated and, without further introduction, there was Hayley! Admittedly it was an extract from the Christmas Eve concert from Manchester Cathedral but great that it should be broadcast again.
A few minutes later, "Amazing Grace" was mentioned and, again, it was Hayley singing it! I can only assume that it was recorded at the same time as the setting looked the same but it was not transmitted as part of the original programme. Therefore this morning was the first time (to my knowledge) that it was broadcast. What a shame that we didn't know in advance.
