Hi Someone. My favourite books are exercise books because I have always enjoyed writing more than reading. Favourite movies? Now that's tricky because we don't have movies in the UK - we have films. So, my favourite films are..... um..... Kodak! It was a good question, Someone. Sorry I messed it up. Roger

Hello Someone! I'm not a great cinema-goer or reader, but I really enjoy Hayley's biography "The World At Her Feet" by Paul Little. I've already read it several times at home, but whenever I see it in a bookshop I can't stop myself from picking it up and reading a chapter or three! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Movies:
Not a single one - I dislike movies of ANY description. Most of them contain too much sex and violence, and the ones that try to recreate books always seem to be at odds with my interpretation of those books.
Books: I think the Bible, the Koran, and any other such foundational books of a religion should not be considered in the category "Books" as such. They transcend this category.
So, I make a double choice:
Transcendationals: The Bible
Books in general: Lord of The Rings by Tolkien (quite in a class of its own). (And no - I don't like the movie version - it forces upon me too much the interpretation of the move makers.)
After that: Agatha Christie mysteries Isaac Asimov: I Robot and Foundation Erle Stanley Gardner: Perry Mason mysteries Patricia Wentworth: Miss Silver mysteries (reminiscent of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple mysteries)
