Nice picture of the G7 there Gerrit G7, eh? I'll settle for that. And thank you to everybody for not referring to us as the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World! Roger

I don't often go quoting myself, but I remember your daughter's name, Dave. So I can now add Emma to my list. Nice picture of the G7 there Gerrit Well done Gerrit, Emma it is! As for the G7, well if you added one G [errit] it would have been the REAL G8 Summit. Where were you? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDave

Hello again folks! It's a pity Hayley isn't with us in the picture, because I've just thought of a brilliant title for a brand new pantomime. How about "Snow White and the Magnificent Seven"? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThis hot weather's getting to my brain, what's left of it! Exit, stage left! Richard

Hello yet again! I'm sorry, but I think we could be the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Roger's hair must be the Hanging Gardens of Babylon! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'm going home now. Richard

Hi Dave, My line of thought was actually exactly the same: if GK had been there, it would have been a G8.Could our parallel thoughts be a question of "Great minds ...". Which leads me to this suggestion: G7 (or G8) refers to the 7 (8) Greatest minds of the ancient world. Now, who is going to be Socrates? And who will be G1? As to why I wasn't there - after last years four forays into England/Wales and single stay in Germany, I had to cut back a little this year. So I save money for later. Cheers, Gerrit

Ehhh Emmett, that Socrates isn't a Great thinker of the ancient world, he's just (!) a Great soccer player of the recent world. You seem to be clouding the issues Gerrit

(Punch and Judy is a well-known UK seaside attraction; it is a play usually done with glove puppets with the actors using funny voices. Although the show is geared for kids, there is a violent tone to the play as Mr Punch wields a heavy stick. The roles are Punch, Judy (Hayley holding a doll), the devil, the clown, the hangman, the ghost, the crocodile, and the servant. ) I'm not going to say who's playing what character...

You might like to know that Natasha gave us an excellent review of Hayley's first appearance at Joe's Pub in New York last year. There are some lovely pictures, and you can view it on the HWI main site via the following link:- www.hayley-westenra-international.com/html-2004/reviews/20040625_It%27s%20Cool%20to%20be%20Starstruck_NP.htmIf you look at the three photos at the bottom of the page, you can see Hayley's father Gerald in the background. Hi all, as a non native speaker I want to ask: What does mean "rehersal"? Google said is has something to do with wedding TIA. cu Lothar Hi Lothar, A "rehearsal" is a trial performance for a specific forthcoming event of any kind in readiness for the public performance. It usually refers to a play or a concert but it can relate to anything such as a wedding. This is as opposed to "practise" which is to perform repeatedly in order to improve proficiency generally but not for a specific event. Hope this helps, if not I shall have to rehearse my replies! Roger

Hey Everyone, I'm just wondering has everyone here met someone else from these forums? From the reviews I guess a lot of the UK people have. So far I've met Steven McDonald and briefly Gary Scovil. I also met Steven Olivio, he doesn't actually post here but he wrote a couple reviews for HWI. So who have you all met so far? One of these days we hope to go back to England, first experience was lovely but short, and I hope that if we do I'll get to meet some of you! I would especially like to meet Keith because he's just been so wonderful, from letting me become a part of HWI to creating the groups for my sister and I. Also Gerrit, he's been so kind to host my Becky videos for me and help manage the group!! Natasha I forgot to say that I also met DaddyTom or Tom Lavera. He came to one of our concerts in Michigan so that was really neat!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifNatasha
