Hello Natasha! I think the music from the King and I is quite nice, but I wouldn't say it's the best musical ever made. A lot of the music sounds a bit quaint these days. I remember seeing the film back in the 1950s. I had more hair than Yul Brynner then, but not a lot! Best Wishes to you and Crystal, Richard

I love MOST of the music but some songs like, "My Lord and Master" just never impress me. Crystal says the music is very repetitive and she's right, but I still think R & H did a great job.
I like, "Whistle a Happy Tune" "Hello Young Lovers" "Getting to Know You" "Something Wonderful" "Shall we Dance" "Shall I tell you what I think of you" "March of the Siamese Children" and "A Puzzlement," which is almost all of them, lol.
The "March of the Siamese Children" is especially fun for me to play on my flute and piccolo - and it irritates my family to no end, LOL.

I remember seeing it at school; either the film or a stage performance. I like the songs "Hello Young Lovers" and "Getting to Know You".
