[glow=red,2,300]Hayley NewYear!![/glow]...oops, ..."Happy" NewYear!! ...heeheehe Some interesting time marker news items as we head into the new year... Hello Jeremiah, Happy New Year to you, too! The four links you posted just below the photos of Hayley are quite a way off topic to the spirit of this thread and are liable to take it further off topic if people respond to them (please don't, folks!). One of the links is broken anyway so I'd appreciate it if you would remove them, thanks. Thanks Raymond (Happy New Year!) for clarifying the situation regarding your photo. Of course, a link to the source should have been quoted in the first place... Cheers, Dave

Hi Jeremiah and a Happy New Year to everyone.
I just wanted to compliemt you on the range of photos of Hayley in your post, esepcially the central one with her in a 'casual' dress.
Hayley always wears stunning dresses for the stage but when we see her offstage she is usually in the jeans of varying tightness in which she seems most comfortably relaxed, but that gypsy-like dress makes the informalty of that photo absolutely charning.

Hello Jeremiah! Thank you for the lovely picture of Hayley. I reduced the size of the image in your post because it was slightly over width. 720 x 480 pixels seems OK. Happy New Year everybody! Richard

Hi Richard, I thought I saw you post somewhere that you were in London for the New Year celebrations (but I can't find it!) and that you witnessed that magnificent fireworks display at the London Eye (Millennium Wheel)? Well, if you did, I have to say that I am green with envy!. I watched the display on TV and it was quite the most magnificent firework display I have ever seen, either live or on TV. It was so good that I've replayed my recording of it half a dozen times already, it was.. WOW!!! Just to give a taste of what I (you!!!) saw, here is a short clip from it (4 MB) - play it with the sound turned up LOUD (it's NOT the finale!) and there's a screenshot below. Richard, please tell us more about it! For anyone who doesn't know, the London Eye is about 135 metres (442 feet) tall and wide - and is the biggest "passenger wheel" in the World. If anyone would like to see the complete 10 minute firework display, just let me know! [glow=yellow,4,600]Happy New Year[/glow] everybody that I haven't already said it to! Dave

Hello Dave and everybody! I mentioned the fireworks display on Hayley's official forum, and I've just mentioned it again on Katherine Jenkins' sub-board, but I'll say a few more words here. I watched it from the road by the Embankment Gardens, which is diagonally across the River Thames from the London Eye on the other side of Charing Cross Railway Bridge. The display lasted a full ten minutes, and I heard it cost about £1,000,000, but hopefully not from my pocket! It was very noisy and colourful, and most of the fireworks were let off from the structure of the London Eye. Your short clip captured the essence of the display, but I would like to watch the whole display again if you can post it, please! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI let the crowd subside a bit before I went home, and I finally got to bed at about 3am. It looked as though the crowd was reasonably well behaved, but there were lots of broken bottles on the Embankment! Best Wishes for 2006, Richard

Here (now hosted by Gerrit, thanks!) is the complete 11 minute version, 34MB, 414 kbps. Pity about the commentator!!! I don't suppose Gerrit would like to host it in conjunction with his 'Katherine' New Year video, what do you think? Cheers, Dave

Many thanks for the video Dave! I enjoyed watching the display again, but I didn't understand the commentary either! It would definitely be a magnificent climax to the Katherine Jenkins New Year video, so please host it Gerrit! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

Even though that was just for Richard, I watched it too! I understood most of the commentary but felt it was largely unnecessary. It must have been a remarkable spectacle for those who were there. Thanks for making it available, Dave! Roger
