I thought for sure that there would be something for Hayley in the Honours List...being that Her Majesty and Hayley are like this (twisting fingers).
I'm glad that David Jason was given a knighthood... how would Del Boy react to such news? "Just cushty, Rodney!"
Some of my favorites from the entertainment world on the list include Radio 2's Jonathan Ross and Terry Wogan, and actresses Dame Judi Dench and Stephanie Cole.
Also footballer Les Ferdinand was given a MBE. I forget what club he's at now. I remember he was with QPR and West Ham a while back.
Oh well. Maybe the new year's list then, Hayley!

Hayley certainly deserves an award but I guess we will have to wait a while yet. It's funny, but I couldn't see my name on the list either. You wouldn't think Buckingham Palace would make TWO mistakes in one year, would you? Roger, Sir TBC LOL

Hello Joe and Roger! The Queen has made THREE mistakes this year because I'm still waiting for my knighthood! Knowing Hayley, I think she might be embarrassed if she was nominated for an award as a teenager, but if her UNICEF work goes well, she might well be nominated for and accept an award in a few years time. As a New Zealander she would be eligible for a proper award like Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, not an honorary one like Terry Wogan. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'm sure Dame Hayley Westenra would still talk to the likes of us! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard

Hi Joe, hes now playing for Reading in the Football League Championship. Good to see Jonathon Ross getting a look in too, about time. Btw he had a great interview with Charlotte Church last night. Finally, great to see the Irish making it in their too,Terry Wogan, without him the Eurovision would be unwatchable. Classic........... Emmett

Hi all, Wow..."Dame" Hayley Westenra...sounds nice...maybe it will happen in the future! Maybe Her Majesty or even the Lord Chancellor or Mr Blair will be at Hampton Court Palace and one of you can put in a good word for Hayley. Roger and Richard, I'm sure your nominations were lost in the post. If anyone deserves an OBE, KCB, MBE, LOL, ETC, it's you and all the folks who make this forum possible and who are so keen to support Hayley every step of the way. Has an ordinary American even been on either honours list? I'm not certain, but Microsoft Founder / zillionaire Bill Gates may have been. Yeah, Emmett, Terry Wogan is an outstanding guy. He will always "do the right thing" in TV and radio and his many works of charity. I'll never forget when Ireland hosted the Eurovision in '94 and that short Riverdance number took the world by storm!

Many thanks for your very kind comments. Actually I won't wait for Her Majesty, I'm going to award myself a CDM later today. That stands for Cadbury's Dairy Milk, and I fancy a bar of chocolate right now! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI'm only about a mile from Buckingham Palace at the moment, so I might go down there and see if 'er indoors would like a piece! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard
