Thanks, Gerrit! I missed that one yesterday on Sky. I'm looking forward to watching it, when it downloads. BBC(online) doesn't seem to allow downloads to Ireland. Paddy

BBC doesn't allow downloads to Holland either - but they are available on certain cable packages here....
Mind you, 130 MB can be a bit of a problem if too many people try to download the video at the same time.

Downloaded fast from your site. I should have recorded it myself but 3 young ladies (home for Christmas) need 'Sky' too. 'Should get 'Sky+', I suppose. Best wishes for 2008. Paddy

What a beautiful voice Andrea Bocelli has & what a marvellous character. Rivetting stuff. Marianne & I both watched it. Helps very much in understanding Hayley's path too. Happy 2008 to you too Gerrit. Graeme

Thanks Gerrit, it's very helpful to people living outside the UK to have your version available when the BBC don't allow it (grrr!). This must have taken you a very long time to prepare convert and upload so thanks for telling us. For UK members, it may be helpful to remind them about the BBC's excellent "watch again" facility, most of their programmes are available at very good quality (far better than YouTube) for 7 days after broadcast. Even better, you can install the BBC download software (free, quick and easy) and have the programmes available to watch on your computer for a month, or 7 days after you first view them. The download files are about 600 MB for a one hour show so you need a fast connection but the quality is as near as makes no difference to DVD quality - even at full-screen; it's simply superb. Andrea's documentary is available to watch or download by UK viewers for five more days from here and to be honest, when I watched it last night, I was astounded at the clarity of the video and audio. BBC say they are negotiating to make a much broader range of programmes available outside the UK. To stay on topic, we should continue any discussion about the BBC "watch again" service in the Off Topic board. Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave,
Actually, I think it was only 15 minutes of my time: - copy the recording from Hard disk recorder to computer - select the right settings for audio - video synchronisation and conversion from MPEG2 to AVI using VirtualDubMod and VirtualDub (after the computer was stamping for about 8 hours unattended) - Use Windows Movie Maker to convert the resulting AVI to WMV (after which the computer was stamping for about 45 minutes unattended) - upload, and add a link to the Andrea Bocelli page.
By the way, for people having problems with the download, I have added a free download manager to the page - it is called "Free Download Manager" .....
