One of the high points of the Ceremony will undoubtedly be the performance by Andrea Bocelli, who will be one of the main acts of the show. Bocelli, who is a world-famous tenor with a tendency for pop, will use his powerful and melodic voice to stir the worldwide audience of the Closing Ceremony.
The "hand-over" segment of the event will include an eight-minute show from Vancouver 2010 that will include Canadian rock star Avril Lavigne. Both Lavigne and Boccelli feature in the IOC's current Celebrate Humanity advertising campaign.

Joe Pavarotti sang "Nessun Dorma" which was brilliantly done. What a surprise to see Andrea Bocelli as well !! I didn't quite catch what he sang though. |

Hi All,
Tonight I 've been busy recording - There was Just The Two of Us featuring Russell Watson on BBC - and this coincided with the Closing Ceremony. Anyway, the moment Just The Two of Us finished, I switched to the broadcast on Dutch TV of the closing ceremony - just in time to catch Andrea ...
Meanwhile, Allen has sent me a recording from the US as well - I hope to get this up tomorrow.
