Hi Richard. Oh Dear. Your latest heavy criticism of Il Divo echoes my sentiments the moment I heard she was touring with them last year BUT I kept mum Hayley had made her decision and this was NOT the time for those wishing to support her to give her wobblies. She appears to have had fun. That's what life is about and in that she enters whole-heartedly and if she is happy, I'm happy for her. She cannot have everything her way and what seems to be the overall outcome is that she has gained a lot of exposure, learned a lot more and has had the advantage of being carried by someone else's administration, which has allowed her to concentrate on her own diversions separately from them. This report brings to a head that question we are all pondering. What follows the only date (Gawesworth Hall) in August? Peter Hi Peter, The criticism of Il Divo (Russell Watson too) is not Richard's (!) but that of an apparently blinkered "pure classical" reviewer. Why some newspaper editors persist in sending such critics to review a musical genre (classical crossover) they seem to know little about, I do not know. Perhaps he will be sent to review a Rolling Stones or Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert next? The result would probably be an equally ill informed piece of writing. You probably know my views on Hayley's tour with Il Divo by now, there's a separate thread all about it! Suffice it to say that my early concerns soon evaporated and I think this tour has done Hayley a lot of good, quite apart from the fact that she seems to be thoroughly enjoying the experience. As for August and beyond, well they say patience is a virtue and all will be revealed as soon as the powers that be (and I don't mean me!) are ready... Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave Dave, you are quite correct to clarify for everyone some very loose use of English on my part! I had not meant to imply the Il Divo criticism was Richard's. I SHOULD have clearly stated that Richard was QUOTING SOMEONE ELSE'S CRITICISM. Thanks for pointing out the inadvertent ambiguity. Sorry Richard. Perhaps I should be more adventurous and daring...? However, I am booked for Huddersfield and my CARDIFF ticket arrived through the post this morning. I now await my Llandudno ticket and apart from booking hotels for each end I then have a week to meander as the mood dictates between the two, through the mountains of Wales. Peter
