Media previews/reviews and fan reviews of Il Divo's concert in Detroit, Michigan on 16 February 2006, (normally those mentioning Hayley!), should be posted in this thread, together with any follow-up comments.
Please stay on topic to this concert; off topic matters can be discussed in a more suitable thread or board. If something in here prompted it, you can either quote an extract from it in the new post, or easily add a clickable link back to here, where it started.
Posts that start or drift seriously off topic may be edited or moved by the forum staff. Let's try to make it easy for people to follow what's happening on this important tour for Hayley!

Hi Dave, that last quote from "turquesa" was for Detroit's concert. Not much else said about her for that gig. Thanks for that Steve (it's now where it should be) and for helping out with the other Il Divo quotes. I deleted your message (quoted above) in the Chicago thread as it won't make sense after I've moved mu post... turquesa: Posted: Sat Feb 18, 2006 5:21 pm
. haley has a nice soprano voice. did one song in her native new zealand dialect. they was a guy in the lobby after the concert giving away cd samplers for haley that contains two songs, both sides now and prayer. a sticker on the front reads on tour now with il divoNow, who's going to be the first to get their hands on one of those samplers? Caite? Welcome to the forum Caite - and go for one of those samplers in Minneapolis tonight! Cheers, Dave

7. Everyone is dead-on about it being a performance where time simply flies by. Hayley was lovely by the way, and her voice was beautiful. As great as she was, I still have to say that we were in a slightly Divo-deprived state and were impatient for the guys.. So I can only suggest that you sit back, relax and take it all in as it comes – enjoy it while you can ‘cause it will be over before you know it!

I looked for 30 minutes for the sampler (a good way to stay warm because there was a shortage in taxi's and I wasn't about to wait outside), but to no avail. It didn't appear anyone was giving away samples, but I gladly told anyone who asked about Hayley, who she was, =)

Here is another short but nice quote from the Il Divo board: LorilovesUrs: Posted: Fri Feb 24, 2006 7:12 pm"Even the singer that opens for them was extraordinary, Helene Westenra." Cheers, Dave

Helene Westenra? Yep, that is extraordinary alright! No, Caite didn't attend the Detroit concert - she was at Minneapolis. I think she was answering an earlier point made in this thread about CD samplers. Roger

Ah! Sorry for the confusion everyone! No, I wasn't at the Detroit concert. And as Roger said I was answering about the CD samplers, which there weren't any in Minneapolis that I was aware of.
