Moved from the "Memories of Meeting Hayley" thread: Here ! Here !
Hayley's professionalism as a singer is incredible. No matter what goes on around her like failing P.A. systems or audience difficulties, adverse weather conditions, Even onstage with other singers of worldwide fame etc, Hayley gets on with the job in hand. On the Watson Dvd the wind is quite strong across the stage, she hardly blinks her hair across her face she carries on completely unfazed also completely un-intimidated by the famous at the time Faye T. Even in some of the early performances like Annie in a shopping center you can see the determination to carry out the whole performance no matter what goes on behind and in front of her.
AN ABSOLUTE PROFESSIONAL !

I also have the Russell Watson DVD (but only because of Hayley!)
Hayley singing "I Dreamed A Dream" (which is also on her own DVD) I find absolutely beautiful, especially the way she walks onto stage in that stunning blue gown and with her hair long enough for her to sit on. So beautiful
I would have loved to have met her back then, but as you say Comet, an absolute professional then, now and always.
Grant

Hello Peter, Comet and Grant! Did you see the shots of Jill, Gerald, Sophie and Isaac that I mentioned on the previous page of this thread? Anyway, I read somewhere that the actual date of the concert was 6th February 2002, which is a very important day in both New Zealand and the UK. In New Zealand it is Waitangi Day, and in the UK it is my birthday! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Best Wishes, Richard

Has a good voice and a good open, casual manner not unlike Hayley's approach but the concert wasn't the mix i would otherwise have gone for. Peter S.

Hi all, - late but not to late - Last Friday I've got the DVD from Amaz.... . And today (as encore of Hayley's concert yesterday in London) I was watching Hayley's parts and I was surprised to see Jill on the end of this DVD also by myself. (plesase have a look on top to Richards informations). I hope to meet Jill personally at any Hayley-concerts again. cu Lothar

Hi All,
I bought the RW CD also because of Hayley. And I found Hayley to be very professional and self-assured of herself. I also loved the high notes that she hit at the end of Pokarekare Ana.
And I wonder if that was the largest crowd she performed for?...over 100,000

Hello hayleyfan!
Welcome to the forum!
Apologies for the broken link to the 'Pie Jesu' clip... we will see if we can restore that for you!

Hi hayleyfan (welcome!) and Joe,
Those links are to the old website associated with (but not part of) HWI.com, it was run by Gerrit from whom unfortunately we have not heard for several years now. It seems that his old website HWI.net has closed and is no longer on the Internet, though he did before we last heard from him give me permission to copy everything from there, in case we ever needed it. I have it, somewhere.
But I'm pretty sure 'I Dreamed A Dream' that you mention is from from an old Russell Watson DVD on which Hayley performed a few songs and that it's been uploaded to Youtube by others. Have you searched for it? I think it's there, somewhere, and will probably be better quality than what Gerrit had on his old website.
Cheers, Dave

People post that video on twitter nearly everyday, so it appears it's still around.

Hello Hayleyfan, and welcome to the forum! I've found most of the videos on YouTube. They were posted on the forum before, so I think we can post them again. Pie Jesu: Romanza (Excerpt): I Dreamed A Dream: Pokarekare Ana (duet): I couldn't find 'Now Is The Hour'. Richard
