 This is the Taiwan cover of the DVD, so there are some Chinese words on it. The one I can buy in HK is not this cover. All the words on the cover is English,but a promotional paper is in the DVD box.  I think this is rather strange that this promotional paper is included because I have already bought the DVD. But this paper is also in 'Odyssey'. This time, it is normal because maybe after listening to 'Odyssey', people will go to buy this DVD. |

Hi Raymond, My Dad is currently in Hong Kong and he just called me to tell me that he bought a DVD called 'Live in New Zealand'. He thought it was new as it was largely displayed in the music store. Raymond, does the HK version use simplified characters vs. the traditional ones on the Taiwan cover?

Hello Peter, The HK version doesn't have Chinese characters on it. I think it is the one that is sold internationally. Hong Kong uses traditional characters. Under 'One country, two systems', we are not forced to use simplified characters. In my opinion, although simplified characters are faster to write, only traditional characters can represent our culture. Raymond |

Hi Raymond, Thanks for the explanation. I do think its interesting HK uses the traditional characters and not forced to the simplified. Not that it matters to me very much anymore... even my spoken mandarin is pretty rusty these days. At least its not like the old Western TV shows in Taiwan where they would dub over the actor with Mandarin and it would sound funny.
