Speaking of Wuthering Heights, why did Hayley say 'have a good night everybody, thanks very much!' at the end, and then come back again to sing another song?? Then i looked in the DVD booklet, and it said she filmed the concert on 15 and 16 August! Did she split the concert in two??? Dori

Or maybe it's because "Hine e Hine" with Teddy Tahu Rhodes was supposed to be the "Encore". Celtic Woman does the same thing on their current tour, they say thank you to the audience after singing "You raise me up" and people think it's over so they start to leave. But then the music starts again and they sing "Spanish Lady" as an extra performance.

Dori When that sort of thing happens they usually take the best shots from both. It depends on background sounds (people coughing, sneezing etc) camera angles. Usually sound is recorded separate from the visual so can be re-synched afterwards. Two things could have happened. A slip up on continuity, or Hayley said one thing but the audience insisted by the continued applause they wanted her back so she adapted to the audience. I think I've been in an audience when she has done that. Peter S.

Hello Dori, Stephany and Peter.
I believe Hayley did perform twice over two nights. I'm sure I have noticed slight differences with her hair at different points on the DVD.
With regard to Hayley saying "Good night" and then coming back on, it is usual for performers to have a basic concert set list and then a couple of 'extras' . The encore being a thank you for the (hopefully) generous applause received for the main performance.
John Denver always used to say that if he could run from the stage to the wall and back before the clapping stopped, he would do his encore.
Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant I'll have to spot differences upon my next viewing of the DVD. Also, since the concert was being recorded, the film crew may have wanted certain songs repeated for optimal camera angles etc. A highlight for me is when Hayley returns to her encore. She says "thank you very much"...so humble and sincere. It would have been lovely to see Sophie rejoin her sister as the performers take their bows.

I've never considered that before Joe and I would agree, Sophie should have been there. Perhaps Sophie was only there for one of the performances and they used the finale from the other one or perhaps it was a school night and Sophie needed her beauty sleep.
I guess we'll never know the answer.
Best wishes Grant

Or perhaps it was a school night and Sophie needed her beauty sleep. Going to bed early on such an occasion? I'm sure the whole family was up there until the end to support Hayley i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI guess we'll never know the answer. Very well-said

The DVD was recorded in August 2004, so it should have been school holidays. Richard
