Hello Drew! I'll quote your post from the 'Screen Captures' thread:- Here is a transcript of the article:- Award winning World's Biggest Coffee Morning campaign stirs up support Thursday, 24 August 2006, UK-wide Press release Macmillan Cancer Support celebrates its win of ‘Best use of events’ at the 2006 Fundraising Awards for its flagship event, World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Last year nearly two million people, including celebrities, stirred themselves into action by hosting or attending coffee events across the UK and raised £6.5 million, £1.3 million more than the previous year. This year the fully integrated marketing campaign enlists the support of, amongst others, GCap Media’s Classic FM. For the fourth consecutive year, the partnership will promote World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 29 September with on-air activity starting from 4 September. Classic FM’s partnership of the event will encourage listeners to hold their own coffee morning for Macmillan and is offering one registered listener the chance to win a performance from New Zealand classical singing sensation Hayley Westenra at their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event on Friday 29 September. Presenter Simon Bates will capture their reaction live on-air whilst Jane Jones will also provide listeners with the ‘soundtrack to your coffee morning’. The aim of the campaign is to ensure that Macmillan becomes fully integrated with Classic FM programming in the run up to the event and on the day with presenter and recorded fillers. The deal was brokered by Ideas Eurobrand. Louise Bennett at GCap Media said: “We are very proud to be teaming up with Macmillan on this valued annual event. We work hard to ensure each year is memorable for our listeners and everyone supporting Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”. Online activity gets an extra push this year with the development of a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning game www.makemecoffee.com, linked to the event microsite, where participants can play to win a round of coffee in their office. The game, designed by the Macmillan in-house interactive communications team and creative agency Squeeze, has a retro, spin-the-wheel game show look and is designed to encourage participants to forward it on. The site will target large corporates and by just entering a few details, office workers can create their own ‘drinks round’. The online advertising campaign will benefit from increased activity to raise awareness and drive registrations with banners, skyscrapers and sponsored editorial on MSN, Yahoo, Radio Times, ivillage, 50 connect and Livingit! amongst others, the exclusive deal is brokered by media agency PHD. Alongside a number of integrated joint activities, longstanding corporate partner npower, is introducing a field sales initiative, whereby npower customers met face-to-face are offered a card with a free Cafédirect Fairtrade coffee sachet. £2 will be donated to Macmillan for every customer that signs up to become a customer during the week of coffee morning and who’s contract goes 'live' with npower. The Co-op, UK’s leading supermarket supporter of Fairtrade, once again has a presence in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning registration pack with money-off vouchers for a selection of their Fairtrade coffee, cake and biscuit products. Activity also includes a dual branded mailer to the Co-operative Group’s most loyal customers encouraging registration to the event and support of Co-op Fair Trade. The event is also being promoted in Co-op Group stores through radio advertisements and till screen ads. For the first time, Gaggia will be lending its support to World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, with a variety of activities in the lead up to the event in September; these include coffee mornings at Gaggia concessions, in-store promotions with key retail partners, regional radio competitions, the auction of limited edition green coffee machines and a series of fundraising initiatives at The London Restaurant Show on the 18-20 September. Hello everybody! There is now quite a discussion about this in the Classic FM's Most Wanted thread, starting HERE. At least Classic FM are involved, I suppose, but I'm hoping the discussion will now continue in this thread. Richard

Sorry about the false alarm (if you live near Banbury). She is in Woking.

That was a rather disappointing program. I thought that we (Classic FM listeners) might be given a little notice as to where Hayley was going so that the audience numbers (and thus MacMillan collections) might be boosted.
Very nice for the visitors to the pub in Woking wherever it was.

Hi Drew
I was getting all excited then, as I live near Banbury and Churchill is no more than 15 minutes drive !! I seem to have missed the whole thing anyway (yet again). Thanks for keeping us well informed.
Regards Mark.

Hi folks, I recorded the entire four hour programme so now it's a question of finding all the bits Hayley was in (at least two). I shall find them - though there isn't all that much of Hayley by the sound of it... it was nice to hear her speaking "live" as she surprised the people at the Woking pub (in an upstairs room). I'll post up a recording of it later this evening (got to nip out and do some visiting right now). I don't think they'd have played her singing anything... but I'll check for that. Oh and well done Hayley - great stuff for charity! Cheers, Dave

Dave you may need one of these if you are planning on sitting up all night... Regards, Andrew

Hi Andrew and everyone, Well I didn't sit up all night as I was able to skip through the four hour show fairly quickly and I only noticed two clips involving Hayley... so here they are in a three minute Windows Media file. Hayley at Classic FM's Coffee MorningHayley certainly seemed to be enjoying herself and all in the name of charity. But I wish they'd broadcast her singing at the coffee morning, that would have been nice! Cheers, Dave
