Were the rest of the family there? Hello Peter! I doubt if Ross would know, because he wasn't there himself! To save further confusion, this was a DVD of a concert that took place last June. Ross hopes to see Sophie at Ashburton on 8th February. Richard Thanks for the clarification, Richard. My slowness of wit! Peter S.

That dress looks like one of Hayley's from a couple years ago! It looks a tiny bit baggy at the front, though.

I don't quite understand, Richard. You're preventing me from commenting on Sophie's dress just because a few other people did several pages ago? I didn't know there was a restriction on the number of times that could be mentioned. I just happened to notice that her dress looked like Hayley's old one. I'm not off-topic, because I was talking about Sophie.

Hello Libby.
I was merely trying to stop this thread from going round in circles. Also the earlier discussion was starting to get heated (see page 10), and I didn't want that to happen again.

Also the earlier discussion was starting to get heated (see page 10), and I didn't want that to happen again. I see that, now. I didn't read the whole thread over, so I didn't see that at first. I only wanted to check if there was any word on when her album will be released. I can see why you were concerned about it; what was argued about is so silly. I prefer the dress on Hayley, but it's still pretty on Sophie. Remember, Hayley singing career gives her enough money to buy some dresses like that, but Sophie's doesn't. Okay, I'll stop now.

Well they do not have to worry, the weather forecast is for a hot sunny day i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif The Three Tenors must be a New Zealand trio as Sophie has performed with Paul Madsen in Nelson last December. I will be there on Sunday and will take photos and hopefully a video of Sophie's performance.

Thank you for that Tim. It is lovely hearing about Sophie and in her case it means contact with NZ too, which is great to hear about. Peter S.

Thanks for those Ross! Once again it is a pity about her backing musicians, who seem really poor at times, especially at the start of Shenandoah. Sophie does her best to retrieve the situation though. Interesting too, that the arrangements of both Shenandoah and Pokarekare Ana are identical to Hayley's versions. If she does things like that, the problem is that Sophie is going to be compared directly to Hayley, and I'm not convinced that will help her. As I wrote somewhere else, the first one has to be good, the second has to be different!

Ok the arrangements may be similar and that may or may not have been Sophie's choice however I wouldn't have compared her to Hayley as they both give the song a different feel. Well Done Sophie, you did great! Dean

Hi Ross, Thanks for posting the links. I enjoyed listening/seeing them. Hayley is a hard (impossible ) act to follow ! Good luck to Sophie. Best Wishes, Graham
